Did you know that the Mason Gross School of the Arts has a new Master of Fine Arts program in Design? The program is a two-year course of study that combines creative work, collaboration, and interdisciplinary research to prepare designers for advanced studio practice in the design of publications, exhibitions, information, and interfaces. Did you know that Rutgers University will serve as New Jersey’s Center on Gun Violence Research, a new initiative that will focus the university’s expertise in public health, criminal justice and other fields on a nationwide problem? The Rutgers-led center will conduct multi-disciplinary research on the causes, consequences and solutions to firearm-related violence, including homicides, assaults, suicides and accidental shootings. The annual charity event will take place on Sicard Street on the College Avenue Campus at 9 p.m. This year's charity event will raise money to donate school supplies to New Brunswick's public schools. Did you know that Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) is celebrating its 50th anniversary? EOF provides financial assistance and support services, such as counseling and tutoring, to New Jersey students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who attend college in the state of New Jersey. Since its inception in 1968, Rutgers has helped 15,000+ EOF students earn their college degrees.
