The One Stop Weekly – your source for official student information – is published every Tuesday during the semester by the One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, contains timely academic and student information. Students are responsible for knowing the information in these notices and taking appropriate action. For additional information, follow any of the links in the announcements. The One Stop represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration, and can be reached using the contact form or in-person at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus.

Notices

Reading Day and Final Exam Period—All Students
The last day of classes for the fall semester is Wednesday, December 11. Thursday, December 12, and Friday, December 13, are Reading Days. Final exams begin on Monday, December 16, and end on Monday, December 23.

Residence Hall Closure for Winter Break—All Students
University recess for winter break is from Monday, December 23, 2024, to Monday, January 20, 2025. Residence halls that are not open for break close at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, and re-open at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Last Day to Withdraw for Fall 2024—Undergraduate Students
Friday, December 13, is the last day to withdraw from the university for Fall 2024. Normal Webreg hours are 6:30 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, and 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. View the Fall Undergraduate Calendar here and request assistance through the webform here.

Registration for Winter Session Now Open—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2025 term is ongoing. Students can make progress towards a degree this winter and choose from 150+ courses in a wide variety of subjects. Please note that in order to register, students must have an established GPA of 2.0 or higher. First-year students who are enrolled in the fall are not eligible to register for Winter Session. Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2025 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2025. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial

Winter 2025 Term Bills—All Students 
Winter Session 2025 term bills are due on December 3, 2024. Students can pay online at paymybill.rutgers.edu.

2025-2026 FAFSA Is Now Available—All Students 
The 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available. File before the February 1, 2025, Rutgers priority filing deadline for maximum financial aid consideration.

Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students
The Rutgers Tuition Payment Plan allows students to pay tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from bank accounts via e-check payments, credit cards, or debit cards. Winter 2025 and Spring 2025 payment plans are now available. Learn more about payment plans here.

GradGuard Tuition Insurance—All Students 
The GradGuard Tuition Insurance Plan helps students and their families overcome the financial losses that may result from events that force students to withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason, including illness, injury, and mental health conditions. Learn more about GradGuard Tuition Insurance here. Students can now enroll in GradGuard Tuition Insurance plans in Nelnet QuikPay. Enrollment instructions can be found here (PDF). RBHS students must enroll directly via GradGuard.

Payment Center Hours of Operation—All Students 
Please note that the New Brunswick Payment Center's new hours of operation are Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall on the Busch Campus.

Enroll in Direct Deposit for Faster Refunds—All Students 
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. International students who are eligible for a refund can enroll in direct deposit using a U.S. bank account. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer or winter refunds. Students not enrolled in direct deposit will receive a pop-up alert on the myRutgers portal that must be acknowledged.

Staff/Faculty Taxable Remission—Graduate Students Who Are Staff/Faculty
Please be aware that the full value of staff/faculty graduate tuition remission is subject to federal and New Jersey state tax withholding. In addition, under federal regulations, any graduate tuition remission benefit over $5,250 per calendar year is also considered taxable. Please refer to the 2024 Tax Withholding Schedule for the 2024 withholding dates.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

Academics

Monday Motivation, Final Exam Prep Workshops, and Night Against Procrastination—All Students
The Learning Centers offers five Finals Prep Workshops starting December 4, and registration for Monday Motivation workshops is open through December 9. The Learning Centers are also hosting the Night Against Procrastination event taking place on Wednesday, December 4, with extended hours for all services, student wellness programs, therapy animals, and a raffle. Applications Open for Rutgers-Eagleton Washington Internship Award Program—Undergraduate Students
The Center for Youth Political Participation at the Eagleton Institute of Politics is accepting applications for the Rutgers-Eagleton Washington Internship Award Program for Summer 2025. This program is open to all majors, class years, and campus locations and provides financial assistance to undergraduates interested in interning in Washington, D.C. in the nonprofit, government, or advocacy sector. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on February 7, 2025. Learn more and apply here.

In-Person LSAT Test Prep Course—Graduate Students
Registration is open for the February and June 2025 in-person LSAT test, and 2024 and 2025 LSAT online dates are also available. The course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction from experienced test preparation professionals and the easy-to-follow program uses proven techniques to simplify the LSAT. The test has changed and these courses will help students prepare. Learn more and register here.

Student Success Resources

Success.rutgers.edu is dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed and is organized around four themes: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and includes important "How To" instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.

Jobs, Internships and Leadership Positions

Students should regularly check out the employment listings available on Rutgers Handshake, your primary career management portal brought to you by the Office of Career Exploration and SuccessOn-campus part-time jobs are also regularly posted to the platform by campus departments.

Winter Career & Internship Mega Fair—All Students
The Winter Career & Internship Mega Fair takes place on February 11-14, 2025, at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center on the Busch Campus. Join this in-person event to network with employers to discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. This event is open to Rutgers University students and alumni. Learn more and register here.
