Regular Classes End This Week
Wednesday, December 11, is the last day of regular classes for the semester. Thursday, December 12, and Friday, December 13, are Reading Days. The final exam period begins on Monday, December 16.

Winter Break Hall Closing
Certain residence halls on the Rutgers–New Brunswick campus will close at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 23, for the beginning of the Winter Recess. Residence halls will re-open on Sunday, January 19, at 10 a.m. Prior to moving out, please consult and complete the closing checklist in its entirety to help ensure that all students may return to a warm and welcoming community after break. Residence Life staff will conduct closing room checks. Students should contact their Residence Life staff with any questions. View a full list of buildings closing for break here.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Is Now Available for 2020–2021—All Students
The 2020–2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available. Continuing students should file before the January 15, 2020, priority deadline. Learn how to apply for financial aid on the Office of Financial Aid website

Late Registration for Winter Term and Term Bill Payments—All Students
The late registration period for the Winter 2020 term has begun. Students may continue to register, but a $125 late fee will be assessed. Earn up to four credits during winter break, and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Courses are offered in face-to-face, online, or hybrid format. Learn more about Winter Term here. Students should view and pay bills for the Winter 2020 term on the Student Accounting website. Assistance with Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounting—All Students
For assistance with financial aid, registration, and student accounts, please visit Records Hall (suite 140) on the College Avenue Campus. The office is open for walk-in inquiries Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications for the Master’s Program in Political Science–Concentration in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. This 36-credit program gives students an opportunity to reduce graduate program costs and obtain an M.A. degree in a shorter time period. Applications for the Bloustein Master of Public Informatics Program—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is now accepting applications for Fall 2020 admission to its Master of Public Informatics (MPI) program. This program is suited for students who have interests in big data, data science, and data management as it relates to the fields of public policy, urban planning, and health. The application deadline for merit-based scholarships is January 15, 2020. Scholarships are available for Fall 2020. Please contact recruit@ejb.rutgers.edu with any questions. Applications for the Rutgers Law 3+3 Program (Bachelor’s/J.D. Dual Degree)—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students considering law school can complete the Rutgers Law 3+3 Program in just six years, instead of the usual seven years to earn an undergraduate and law degree. The program is open to students across all Rutgers campuses who complete the application process by March 1 of their third undergraduate year. Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who plan to complete degree requirements in the fall must apply for graduation by completing an Online Diploma Application. Please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 or email diplomas@registrar.rutgers.edu with any questions. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) Peer Instructor Recruitment—Undergraduate Students
Students who are interested in what it would be like to teach at Rutgers are invited to apply to the First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS). FIGS are one-credit courses taught by upper-class students to aid first-year students in their transition to college while exploring an academic interest area. FIGS Peer Instructors receive a stipend of $850 and earn three credits for a course they will enroll in during the Fall 2020 semester. Applications for the Rutgers–Eagleton Washington Internship Award—Undergraduate Students
The Rutgers–Eagleton Washington Internship Award Program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 to current Rutgers undergraduate students for summer internships in government or the nonprofit sector in Washington, D.C. This monetary award is intended to ease the financial burden of working in Washington, D.C. by offsetting living expenses. Undergraduates from all majors are encouraged to apply. Applicants are not required to have an internship in place at the time of application. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on February 7, 2020. Learn more about the award program here.

Applications for the European Summer Institute—All Students
The Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies at the School of Arts and Sciences is accepting study abroad applications from graduate and high-achieving undergraduate students for the European Summer Institute. This six-week home-stay program exposes students to courses on the EU, UN, migration, gender, and development. The program is in english. The application deadline is February 15, 2020. Rutgers Internship Excellence Awards—Undergraduate Students
The Rutgers Internship Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Office of Career Exploration and Success, was established to help recognize the outstanding contributions of Rutgers–New Brunswick undergraduate interns. Winners will be recognized at the Career Knights of Distinction awards dinner on Thursday, April 30, and also receive a $200 award. Did You Know

Did you know that you can submit a program for Rutgers Day? Rutgers Day is on Saturday, April 25, 2020, and the program submission period is open through February 17. Visit the Rutgers Day website by logging in with your NetID to submit your program, review guidelines and policies, and download marketing materials to promote your activities. All academic, administrative, and health care units, student clubs and organizations, and performance groups are encouraged to participate.
