Important Information Regarding COVID-19

This page has resources for students and parents along with announcements pertaining to COVID-19, FAQs, and the operating statuses of services, facilities, and offices at Rutgers. You are encouraged to check this site frequently.

One Stop Student Services Center Closed for Walk-Ins on Friday, December 17—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center will be closed for walk-ins on Friday, December 17, and will resume normal hours on Monday, December 20.

Registration for Winter Term—All Students
Winter Session begins on December 23. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online, or a hard copy (PDF) if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2022. For any questions concerning a diploma application, please call 848-445-4636 (INFO) and select option 6, or submit an inquiry to the One Stop Student Services Center. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Commencement Information—All Students
The Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical & Health Sciences Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at SHI Stadium on the Busch Campus. School convocations are scheduled on the surrounding days. Please visit the Commencement website for more information regarding these events, regalia sales, and more. Students should continue to check their ScarletMail accounts as ceremony information will be sent via email. Family and friends are also able to sign up for the Commencement newsletter for up-to-date information on the upcoming May 15, 2022, ceremony.

Financial

Financial Aid Application Available—All Students
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for the 2022–2023 academic year. Please file before the January 15, 2022, priority deadline to ensure eligibility for all available aid programs. The following is needed to file a FAFSA:

•    An FSA ID
•    Student's Social Security Number
•    2020 Federal Tax information for student and student's parents
•    Rutgers Federal School Code: 002629

Financial Holds—All Students 
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for spring semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the Financial Aid webpage to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Priority Housing for Living-Learning Opportunities—Undergraduate Students
Current undergraduate students can apply to live in Living-Learning Communities (LLC) at no extra cost for the 2022–2023 academic year. Students in learning communities enjoy the benefits of priority housing and sharing common residential and academic experiences with a close community of friends. Preparing for Finals: Learning Support Services—All Students
The Learning Centers will be offering drop-in tutoring and academic coaching, both in-person and online, until the end of the final exam period. The Learning Centers offer subject-specific tutoring to assist students with their coursework, and individualized academic coaching to provide support with finals preparation and other study strategies. Register for School of Management and Labor Relations Information Sessions—All Students
The School of Management and Labor Relations is hosting virtual information sessions for students interested in exploring master’s programs and undergraduate majors in Human Resource Management and Labor Studies & Employment Relations. Meet with program directors and support staff to learn about program options and career possibilities. Applications are now being accepted for 2022. Applications for Graduate Certificate Programs offered through the School of Management and Labor Relations—All Students
The School of Management and Labor Relations is accepting applications for Graduate Certificate programs in Conflict Resolution & Negotiation, Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace, Leading Organizational Change, and Strategic Human Resource Management. The certificate programs each consist of four graduate-level courses and allow for flexibility in building knowledge across different learning areas. Learn more and apply here.
