Important Information Regarding COVID-19

You are encouraged to check this site frequently.

Mandatory Spring Break Reporting Form for On-Campus Residents—All Students 
Rutgers University is strongly advising residents against traveling or leaving campus for Spring Break. This advisement is based on the desire to protect communities against the spread of COVID-19. All halls will remain open for university breaks. All residents, despite intent to remain on campus or travel, must complete a Mandatory Break Status Form by noon on Monday, March 1. For safety guidelines, please complete the Mandatory Break Status Form or deactivation of building access will default. Learn more and access the Mandatory Break Status Form here.

1098Ts—All Students
Students received an email notification on January 29, 2021, with instructions for viewing and printing their 2020 1098T tax forms for Educational Tax Credits. Students with scholarships and grant aid greater than their qualified tuition and fee charges are not eligible to claim a tax deduction and will not see a 1098T form. An important note for this year's form is that any CARES funding received through the term bill will not be included on the form. Learn more about the 1098T form here.

Annual (2021–2022), Summer & Fall 2021 Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students 
Annual, Summer, and Fall tuition payment plans are now available. Students looking to sign up for a payment plan need to log into the current semester term bill to sign up until the Summer and Fall term bills are released. Visit paymentplans.rutgers.edu for more information.

Sign Up for Direct Deposit to Receive Refunds—All Students
Students are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit in order to receive funds faster and avoid paper checks getting lost in the mail or arriving late. Learn more about how to enroll here.

2021 Summer Session Registration—All Students
Registration for Summer Session 2021 has begun. Choose from over 2,500 courses in a wide range of subjects. Make progress toward graduation, improve your GPA, or fulfill a prerequisite this summer. Learn more about Summer Session here.

Pass/No Credit Option for Spring 2021—Undergraduate Students
The Pass/No Credit option remains available to undergraduate students for courses taken during the Spring 2021 semester. Students should evaluate this option carefully and in consultation with academic advisors at their school to understand the full ramifications of such a decision for their particular academic major, career path, and financial aid standing. COVID-19 Testing Information & Contact Tracing—All Students
All students living in campus housing, living off-campus in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area, and students in groups required to receive testing can access testing through Rutgers Student Health. Details about testing can be found here.

• Off-campus students must register their local address here. Local addresses are needed in order for public health officials to properly track and respond to the pandemic.
• There is no cost for testing through Rutgers Student Health.
• Students who experience symptoms, had contact with someone who tested positive, are worried, or are unsure about getting tested, should call Rutgers Student Health at 848-932-7402. Student Health will schedule a same-day appointment time to speak with a clinician, answer questions, and provide a test that day.
• Students who are contacted by a Contact Tracer are highly encouraged to speak with them. Contact Tracers provide valuable information and resources to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Learning Centers Open Study Group Registration and Upcoming Workshops—All Students
The Learning Centers offer free study groups through the Learning Assistant (LA) Program through Monday, May 3. This semester, all study groups will take place online and meet once per week for 80 minutes. Students may register for a study group here. The Learning Centers also offer academic skills and writing workshops for individual students and for student groups, university organizations, and courses. These workshops cover topics from how to write a personal statement to how to cite sources. Register for a TA Project Workshop—Graduate Students
Graduate students are invited to register for workshops offered by the TA Project at the School of Graduate Studies. These workshops cover a wide range of topics to assist TAs with their continued professional development. These sessions, designed for current and future graduate student TAs, are free. During the Spring 2021 semester, all workshops will be held remotely via Zoom. Applications for the SMLR Master’s Program in Labor and Employment Relations—Undergraduate Students
The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) invites undergraduates of all majors to apply for the Master of Labor and Employment Relations (MLER) program. The GRE is waived. Learn about Diversity and Inclusion; Workplace Laws; Globalization; Labor and Management; Conflict Resolution and many complex workplace topics from the employee and employer perspectives. Applications for the SMLR Master’s Program in Human Resource Management & Virtual Open House—Undergraduate Students
The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is accepting applications for the Master of Human Resource Management Program for 2021. This top-tier ranked program is hosting a virtual open house on Thursday, February 25, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Meet with Program Director David Ferio, student advisors, and a SMLR career management specialist to learn about program benefits and careers in human resources. Applications for the Eagleton Graduate Fellowship Program—Graduate Students
Applications are now available for the Class of 2022 Eagleton Graduate Fellowship Program in Politics and Government and is open to Rutgers graduate students. Stipends and tuition remission are available. Participants will build knowledge, skills, and networks to engage in American politics, government, and local communities. Students may complete the program while pursuing a degree without interruption, and an interdisciplinary cohort and curriculum connects the fellowship experience to a chosen field of study. Applications for the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship in Public Service—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy has established the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship Program in Public Service to honor Mr. Voorhees' commitment to community service. Each year, the school selects undergraduates from any major at Rutgers–New Brunswick who are dedicated to civic engagement. Fellows receive $5,000 & participate in a credit-bearing partnership with community organizations. Applications are due on March 5, 2021. Applications for the Master’s Program in Political Science–Concentration in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. This 36-credit program gives students an opportunity to reduce graduate program costs and obtain an M.A. degree in a shorter time period.
