Please refer to the 2024 Tax Withholding Schedule for the 2024 withholding dates.
Rutgers requires full-time and all F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) each semester before the deadline. The health insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. The SHIP is optional for part-time students and the premium is not added to the term bill. The deadline to waive or enroll is February 9, 2024.
WAIVING? Students who have comparable health insurance may complete the waiver to get the premium removed from their term bills. Failure to waive before the deadline will result in enrollment in the SHIP being processed, and the student will be responsible for paying the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance.
ENROLLING? Students who do not have health insurance should complete the enrollment form. Paying the premium on the term bill is not enrolling. Students should complete the enrollment form each semester to finalize the process.
For contact information, deadline dates, insurance premiums, waiver requirements, waiver/enrollment processes visit www.universityhealthplans.com, Waiver/Enrollment inquiries must include the Rutgers ID number/School ID number for identification.
