Important Information Regarding COVID-19
The Universitywide COVID-19 Information Page is your official source of information about the university’s response to COVID-19. This page has resources for students and parents along with announcements pertaining to COVID-19, FAQs, and the operating statuses of services, facilities, and offices at Rutgers. You are encouraged to check this site frequently.
2021 Summer Session Registration—All Students
Registration for Summer Session 2021 is ongoing. Choose from over 2,500 courses in a wide range of subjects. Make progress toward graduation, improve your GPA, or fulfill a prerequisite this summer. Learn more about Summer Session here.
Pass/No Credit Option for Spring 2021—Undergraduate Students
The Pass/No Credit option remains available to undergraduate students for courses taken during the Spring 2021 semester. Students should evaluate this option carefully and in consultation with academic advisors at their school to understand the full ramifications of such a decision for their particular academic major, career path, and financial aid standing. COVID-19 Testing Information & Contact Tracing—All Students
All students living in campus housing, living off-campus in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area, and students in groups required to receive testing can access testing through Rutgers Student Health. Details about testing can be found here.
- Off-campus students must register their local address here. Local addresses are needed in order for public health officials to properly track and respond to the pandemic.
- There is no cost for testing through Rutgers Student Health.
- Students who experience symptoms, had contact with someone who tested positive, are worried, or are unsure about getting tested, should call Rutgers Student Health at 848-932-7402. Student Health will schedule a same-day appointment time to speak with a clinician, answer questions, and provide a test that day.
- Students who are contacted by a Contact Tracer are highly encouraged to speak with them. Contact Tracers provide valuable information and resources to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Student Center Building Operations Managers for the 2021–2022 Academic Year—Undergraduate Students
Student Centers and Activities is recruiting Student Centers Building Operations Managers. Building Operations Managers serve as the primary liaison between the student center and university offices. Students gain valuable leadership skills and are responsible for student center operations, including staff, facility, and event management. Interested students must attend a mandatory information session this week. Applications are due by April 5, 2021. Learn more and view the schedule of information sessions here.
Connecting with Learning Center Academic Support Services—All Students
While classes are being offered remotely and the Learning Center locations are closed, students can access a virtual help desk to "drop in" and ask questions related to accessing services and succeeding in classes. Connect to the Virtual Help Desk from 10 a.m. to 7p.m., Monday through Friday. Learning Center staff remain dedicated to students' success and are still here to support virtually. Register for a TA Project Workshop—Graduate Students
Graduate students are invited to register for workshops offered by the TA Project at the School of Graduate Studies. These workshops cover a wide range of topics to assist TAs with their continued professional development. These sessions, designed for current and future graduate student TAs, are free. During the Spring 2021 semester, all workshops will be held remotely via Zoom. Learn more about the program and see the list of scheduled workshops here.
Applications for the Eagleton Graduate Fellowship Program—Graduate Students
Applications are now available for the Class of 2022 Eagleton Graduate Fellowship Program in Politics and Government and is open to Rutgers graduate students. Stipends and tuition remission are available. Participants will build knowledge, skills, and networks to engage in American politics, government, and local communities. Students may complete the program while pursuing a degree without interruption, and an interdisciplinary cohort and curriculum connects the fellowship experience to a chosen field of study. Applications & Information Sessions for Road to Wall Street (RTWS) Program: Cohort 11—Undergraduate Students
Applications for the Rutgers Road to Wall Street Program at the Rutgers Business School open on March 26. Rising sophomores are invited to apply by April 9, 2021. A virtual information session for interested freshmen women (class of 2024) will be held on March 24 at 8 p.m. Information sessions offer an opportunity to hear about the program and learn more about the professional opportunities it provides and about the application process. Applications for the Master’s Program in Political Science–Concentration in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. This 36-credit program gives students an opportunity to reduce graduate program costs and obtain an M.A. degree in a shorter time period. Did You Know
Did you know that the Cultural Center Collaborative and Student Health Services is hosting the virtual event Re-Committing to YourSELF + Wellness on Friday, March 26, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.? This 90-minute event features engaging speakers to facilitate dialogue around cultural expressions of health and wellness and the seven dimensions of the wellness wheel. Participants will learn strategies for coping in the age of COVID-19 and explore helpful university resources. Learn more about the event here.
