One Stop Student Services Center Closing Early on Tuesday, November 2—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, to walk-ins, and will resume normal in-person hours on Wednesday, November 3. During the closure, One Stop can still be reached via the contact form here or via phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO).

Registration for Winter Term Is Now Open—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2022 term has begun. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Last Day to Withdraw from University—Undergraduate Students
The last day to withdraw from the university for Fall 2021 is November 22, 2021. View the Fall 2021 Undergraduate Calendar here. For assistance, please contact the One Stop Student Services Center.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online, or a hard copy (PDF) if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2022. For any questions concerning a diploma application, please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 (and ask for Tia Williams) or submit an inquiry to the One Stop Student Services Center. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial

Financial Aid Application Available—All Students
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for the 2022–2023 academic year. Please file before the January 15, 2022, priority deadline to ensure eligibility for all available aid programs. The following is needed to file a FAFSA:

•    An FSA ID
•    Student's Social Security Number
•    2020 Federal Tax information for student and student's parents
•    Rutgers Federal School Code: 002629

Financial Holds—All Students 
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for spring semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the Financial Aid webpage to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Health

Weekly Rapid Results HIV Testing Available—All Students
Rutgers Health Outreach, Promotion, and Education (HOPE) is providing Weekly Rapid Results HIV Testing every Friday through November 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. by appointment. Test results are available in about 20 minutes. Please email mark.cruz@rutgers.edu to make an appointment. All testing is free and confidential. Students must bring their student IDs, and masks must be worn to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Testing is done at 8 Lafayette Street on the College Avenue Campus.

Fall 2021 Flu Vaccination Clinic—All Students
The last flu vaccination clinic takes place on Wednesday, November 10, at Sojourner Truth Apartments on the College Avenue Campus. The clinic runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Students must bring their student ID and insurance card. To save time, forms can be filled out in advance. Learn more and access the forms here.

Student Health Insurance Waiver Appeals—All Students
The deadline to waive or enroll in student health insurance was September 21. Updated waiver appeal information is as follows:

Failed to Waive? Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. Students can complete a waiver appeal form before November 30, 2021. F and J Rutgers visa-sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global before the deadline for waiver appeal guidelines at eljones@global.rutgers.edu.

Failed to Enroll? Students are now enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan. Insurance cards should have been accessible starting October 5, 2021, and an account must be created to access the card.  

Students may view the summary of benefits and other information here. Please note that the enrollment process can take several weeks, which will delay access to insurance cards. Students are encouraged to be proactive and enroll before the deadline in order to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care and then seeking reimbursement.

Priority Housing for Living-Learning Opportunities—Undergraduate Students
Current undergraduate students can apply to live in Living-Learning Communities (LLC) at no extra cost for the 2022–2023 academic year. Students in learning communities enjoy the benefits of priority housing and sharing common residential and academic experiences with a close community of friends. Academics

Learn Faster with Peer Coaching—All Students
Peer Coaching offered by the Learning Centers allows students to learn new study strategies, develop time management with peers, and enjoy facilitated small groups that are capped at 6 students per session. Peer coaching sessions give students the individualized attention to help them become more effective students and learners. Register for peer coaching here. Once signed into Penji, join the community titled "LC Academic Coaching". Click on "Join a peer coaching group session" and select a peer coach (either Nicole or Spencer). Students who would rather work one-on-one with a coach to learn these skills can make an appointment here.

Applications and Virtual Information Session for the Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. This 36-credit program gives students an opportunity to reduce graduate program costs and obtain an M.A. degree in a shorter time period. A virtual information session will be held on Tuesday, November 9, at 12 p.m. Register for the information session here.

Applications for the Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Program—Juniors in all Rutgers Schools
Applications are being accepted for the Undergraduate Associates Program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Associates learn about real-world politics and government, build knowledge, skills, and networks for political, government, and community engagement. Learn about power and decision-making while honing leadership and professional skills. This is a 3-course series (one each semester) and a summer or fall internship in politics, government, policy, or advocacy. Applications are due on November 5, 2021. Learn more and apply here.

Register for School of Social Work's Master of Social Work Information Sessions—All Students
The School of Social Work is hosting virtual information sessions for students interested in learning more about the Master of Social Work degree options. Applications for this nationally-ranked school are now being accepted for 2022. Learn more and register for an information session here.

Register for Bloustein School's Master's in Public Policy, Urban Planning, and Public Informatics Information Sessions—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions for their master and graduate certificate programs in Public Policy, Urban Planning, and Public Informatics. The GRE is waived for 2022 and scholarships are available for Fall 2022. No work experience is necessary. Students must RSVP to attend an information session.
