Important Information Regarding COVID-19
The Universitywide COVID-19 Information Page is your official source of information about the university’s response to COVID-19. This page has resources for students and parents along with announcements pertaining to COVID-19, FAQs, and the operating statuses of services, facilities, and offices at Rutgers. You are encouraged to check this site frequently.
Rutgers Student Health Services and COVID-19 Testing—All Students
Rutgers Student Health is still available as a resource for all Rutgers–New Brunswick students. Most services for both Health Services and Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS) will be offered remotely with a few in-person services available on an as-needed and clinically-indicated basis. Students can make appointments online or by phone for medical services. Appointments with Health Services can be made online or by phone by calling 848-932-7402. University Libraries Operating Status and Services—All Students
The Alexander Library on the College Avenue Campus, the Library of Science and Medicine on the Busch Campus, and the James Dickson Carr Library on the Livingston Campus are open for study and/or computing with limited capacity. Daily hours of operation are posted here and additional information regarding building access and library services can be found here.
Personal Meeting Room Reservations Now Available at the Student Centers—All Students
Student Centers and Activities has opened personal meeting room reservations for academic engagement such as online classes, academic sessions, exams and meetings with professors and other Rutgers staff, etc. Rooms are limited to one per day for three hours, with a maximum of two people. Students can reserve space at the Busch, College Avenue or Livingston Student Centers online. Learn more about the student centers and services here.
Dining Services Operating Status and Meal Plan Information—All Students
Dining Services is now offering online ordering for pickup using meal swipes. Meal plans are also available with packages from 50 to 285 meals for the semester. Select dining locations are open seven days a week. Please visit the Dining Services website for the most up-to-date information and send any questions via this contact form.
Get Ready to Vote this Fall—All Students
The General Election on November 3, 2020, will feature new changes to election practices in New Jersey. All actively registered voters in N.J. will receive an official ballot for the election to the address linked to their voter registration. Students should follow this voting plan:
- Check registration status and address OR register for the first time.
- Students who need to change an address should update voter registration by October 13.
- Receive, fill-out, and submit official ballots by Election Day, November 3.
- Verify that ballots were counted.

Schedule of Classes for Winter Session Is Now Available—All Students
The schedule of classes for the Winter 2021 term is now available. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from more than 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Plan schedules now and begin registering on October 5. Learn more about Winter Session here.
View and Pay Fall Semester Term Bills—All Students
Fall semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. Term bills not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment fee of $125.00. It is recommended that students enroll in one of the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plans (RUTPP) for those unable to pay the full amount due by the due date. myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can now authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records or make payments on their behalf. In order to grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.
Applications for the Mary Ann and Steven J. Allard Fellowship Program—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and Mary Ann and Steven J. Allard have established a fellowship for outstanding, declared, non-traditional public health students who have demonstrated a personal commitment or outstanding academic potential in their public health studies. For 2020–2021, two eligible undergraduate students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 will be selected as fellows to receive $2,000 each. The deadline for applications is October 2, 2020. School of Communication and Information Accepting Applications for Admission—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is now accepting applications for admission to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. Visit the SC&I undergraduate admission webpage to review the admission requirements and to access the online application. The deadline for applying online is Friday, October 2, 2020.
