Important Information Regarding COVID-19

You are encouraged to check this site frequently.

Fall 2021 Add-Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
September 1:
Classes begin
September 10: Last day to add courses or drop courses without a "W" grade
October 25: Last day to withdraw from a course with a "W" grade
November 22: Last day to withdraw from the university for Fall 2021

Normal Webreg Hours:
6:30 a.m.–midnight, Monday through Friday
6:30 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturdays

Upcoming Change in Designation of Class Day
The university is closed on Monday, September 6, for the Labor Day holiday. Wednesday, September 8, follows a Monday class schedule.

View and Pay Fall Semester Term Bills—All Students
Fall semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. Term bills not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment fee of $125.00. It is recommended that students enroll in one of the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plans (RUTPP) for those unable to pay the full amount due by the due date. Please view additional information and payment plan options here.

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Fall 2021 semester are now being accepted online until Wednesday, September 15, 2021. This is the only time during the semester that reductions and cancellations will be allowed.

RU Express Cancellation and Reduction Requests—All Students
RU Express initial deposit cancellation and reduction requests for the Fall 2021 semester are now being accepted online until Wednesday, September 15, 2021. This is the only time during the semester that cancellations or reductions will be allowed and only if the money for the Fall 2021 semester HAS NOT been used.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online, or a hard copy (PDF) if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2022. For any questions concerning a diploma application, please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 and ask for Tia Williams, or use this contact form. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can now authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records or make payments on their behalf. In order to grant this access, students must to log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

New Student ABC Payment Center—All Students
The New Brunswick Payment Center is now located within the Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor Hall (formerly Administrative Services Building, Busch Campus) which is accessible via the One Stop Student Services Center. The Payment Center offers an in-person cash payment service by appointment only. Please direct all term bill-related questions to the One Stop Student Services Center.

Health

Rutgers Student Health's Services—Undergraduate Students
Rutgers Student Health is here for all of your health and wellness needs, providing a hybrid of services this fall. Health Services is providing all its regular clinical services, including:

  • General Medicine
  • Preventative Care
  • Sexual Health & Reproductive
  • Gender-Specific Health
  • Immunizations & Allergy Shots
  • Sports Medicine

Appointments are available via tele-health, over the phone, on in-person. To make a medical appointment, call 848-932-7402 or use the Online Patient Portal.

Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS) is offering both in-person and remote counseling options. Services include:

  • Individual therapy
  • Community-Based Counseling
  • Group therapy
  • Skill-Building Workshops
  • Immediate support for students in crisis
  • Alcohol and other drug assistance programs
  • Psychiatric care/medication management
  • Community Referrals

Health, Outreach, Promotion and Education (HOPE) is offering services in-person or virtually including:

  • Peer Educator-Led Workshops and Trainings
  • Wellness Coaching
  • Alcohol Education Workshops

Check Out success.rutgers.edu—All Students
Success.rutgers.edu is a central website dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed. Resources are organized in four thematic areas: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and also includes important “How To” instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.

Register Local Addresses—All Students
Students who are renting in the local community must register local addresses and emergency contact information with Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships in order to be kept updated on municipal information, programming, emergency alerts, and other helpful information related to living off-campus.

Rutgers Food Pantry—All Students
The Rutgers Student Food Pantry (RSFP) is dedicated to helping students in need. Its primary mission is to provide necessary food and personal care products to members of the Rutgers community. All services are confidential and no appointment is necessary—only a Rutgers ID card is needed. Services are provided by Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships and the pantry is located at the College Avenue Student Center in room 115 (lower level). Follow the Rutgers Student Food Pantry on Facebook and Instagram (@RUFOODPANTRY) for up-to-date information.

Find Employment On Campus with Rutgers Handshake—All Students
Student employment opportunities, both in-person and remote, are available for currently registered students. Students are encouraged to log in to their Rutgers Handshake accounts and search for the "On-campus Student Employment" job type to apply. To create an account, visit the Handshake webpage, click the button, and log-in with a NETID and password.

#RutgersWorks Free Tuition Career Challenge—All Students

Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair Series—All Students
Students seeking full-time, part-time, internship opportunities, and 1-on-1 or group sessions with employers are encouraged to register for the Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair taking place on Friday, September 17, from noon to 4 p.m. This fair is open to all current students and alumni from all academic disciplines and Rutgers University campuses (New Brunswick, Camden, Newark, and RBHS).
