Open Hearing on the University’s Tuition, Fees, and Housing and Dining Charges for 2022–2023—All Students
All students are invited to the Open Hearing on the University’s Tuition, Fees, and Housing and Dining Charges for 2022–2023 on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Comments made at the Hearing help inform University administration while developing tuition and fees. Prospective speakers must register online or by emailing secretary@oq.rutgers.edu before noon on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Fall 2022 Pre-Registration—Undergraduate Students
Pre-registration for the Fall 2022 semester began on Monday, April 4, at 9 a.m. for New Brunswick undergraduate students with 90+ credits and continues through Tuesday, April 12. Registration is by degree credits already earned. Please submit any questions via this contact form and view the pre-registration schedule here.

Registration for Summer Session—All Students
Registration for Summer Session 2022 is in progress. Choose from 2,500 course selections in a wide range of subjects. Get ahead or stay on track for graduation with courses this summer. Learn more about Summer Session here.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The May diploma deadline is Sunday, May 15, 2022. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be sent to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this contact form. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial

Scarlet Guarantee—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students in their first and second years of study may qualify for the Scarlet Guarantee (SG) commencing Fall 2022. The SG, mirrored after the Garden State Guarantee, reflects Rutgers–New Brunswick's commitment to making a college degree more accessible and affordable by reducing the out-of-pocket costs for students and families. Eligible applicants must be New Jersey residents working toward their first bachelor’s degree and file the 2022–2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15, 2022. Learn more about the Scarlet Guarantee here.

Garden State Guarantee—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students in their third and fourth years of study may qualify for the Garden State Guarantee (GSG) commencing Fall 2022. The GSG is New Jersey’s promise to make a college degree more accessible and affordable by reducing the out-of-pocket costs for students and families. Eligible applicants must be New Jersey residents working toward their first bachelor’s degree and file the 2022–2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15, 2022. Payment Implications of Russian Sanctions—All Students 
Due to Visa and Mastercard’s decision to suspend coverage in Russia, Flywire has temporarily deactivated all credit/debit card payments originating from Russia to minimize any impact to payers. At this time, Flywire can accept bank transfer payments from Russia for payers seeking to send destination currency. Payers should work directly with their bank to understand any limitations the sanctions may impose on moving money abroad.

Financial Holds—All Students 
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for Fall 2022 semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the document upload page to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Health

Student Health Insurance Information—All Students
Students who have failed to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline should follow these guidelines:

• Failed to Waive? Students are being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan and will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. Students can complete a waiver appeal form before April 30, 2022, at www.universityhealthplans.com. F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global before the deadline for waiver appeal guidelines at eljones@global.rutgers.edu by April 30, 2022. A Rutgers ID number must be included for identification.
• Failed to Enroll? Students are now being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), which will cause a delay in accessing insurance cards. Students can visit www.uhcsr.com to create an account and access insurance cards in a few weeks. Please note that students should be proactive and enroll before the deadline each semester to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care—including medication—and then seeking reimbursement.

General

Duo Requirement for NetID Services and Websites Starts April 18—All Students
Rutgers will require all students to use two-step login with Duo to access most NetID-protected services and websites including Canvas, myRutgers, and Microsoft Office. The requirement will be rolled out to most Rutgers students from April 18 to April 20. Students should enroll now to protect their information. Students who do not enroll before the requirement goes into effect starting on April 18 may experience disrupted access to critical IT services at Rutgers. For help, visit twostep.rutgers.edu and review the FAQs for two-step login, or contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk.

Academics

Attend a Learning Center Focus Group—All Students
The Rutgers Learning Centers invites students who have or have not used Learning Centers' services to participate in a focus group about their experiences. Each participant will be entered into a raffle to win one of five Visa gift cards with one winner picked from each group. Focus groups will be offered online and in-person. Student input is essential to helping the Learning Centers continue to develop and improve services. View locations, dates, and times and register for a session here.

Applications are Open for the Darien Civic Engagement Project—Undergraduate Students
Students can support voter mobilization on campus this fall by being a part of the Darien Civic Engagement Project, a 1.5 credit class promoting nonpartisan voter registration and education for Rutgers University students. Focused on the RU Voting program, interested students will gain research and leadership skills as they host voter registration drives and create social media content for the midterm elections. This project is open to all classes, majors, and locations and the application deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Learn more and apply here.

Register for Bloustein School's Virtual Information Sessions for their Master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions starting this week for their master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics. The GRE is waived for Fall 2022 applications, and the deadline to apply is July 1, 2022. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Learn more and register for a session here.

Applications Open for the Bloustein School’s Graduate Certificate in Public Policy—All Students
Applications for the graduate certificate in Public Policy at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy are being accepted. A graduate certificate can be earned after just 4 courses, and the GRE is not required. No work experience is necessary, and convenient online and evening course options are available. The application deadline for Fall 2022 is July 1, 2022.
