Important Information Regarding COVID-19

One Stop Student Services Center Closure on Tuesday, May 10—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center will be closed on Tuesday, May 10, and will resume normal in-person hours on Wednesday, May 11. During the closure, One Stop can still be reached via the contact form.
End-Of-Year Residence Hall Closing—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students living on campus must vacate their residence hall or apartment within 24 hours of their last final exam OR by Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. (whichever comes first). Registration for Summer Session—All Students
Registration for Summer Session 2022 is in progress. Choose from 2,500 course selections in a wide range of subjects. Get ahead or stay on track for graduation with courses this summer. Learn more about Summer Session here.
Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The May diploma deadline is Sunday, May 15, 2022. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be sent to the One Stop Student Services Center via this contact form. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.
Financial
Financial Holds—All Students document upload page to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for Fall 2022 semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on theSet Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All StudentsLearn more about electronic deposit here.
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically.Payment Implications of Russian Sanctions—All Students
Due to Visa and Mastercard’s decision to suspend coverage in Russia, Flywire has temporarily deactivated all credit/debit card payments originating from Russia to minimize any impact to payers. At this time, Flywire can accept bank transfer payments from Russia for payers seeking to send destination currency. Payers should work directly with their bank to understand any limitations the sanctions may impose on moving money abroad.
One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Health
Student Health Insurance Information—All Students
Students who have failed to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline should follow these guidelines:
- Failed to Waive? Students are being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan and will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. The deadline for completing a waiver appeal form was April 30, 2022. F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students may contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global at eljones@global.rutgers.edu with any questions. A Rutgers ID number must be included for identification.
- Failed to Enroll? Students are now being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), which will cause a delay in accessing insurance cards. Students can visit www.uhcsr.com to create an account and access insurance cards in a few weeks. Please note that students should be proactive and enroll before the deadline each semester to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care—including medication—and then seeking reimbursement.
General
Commencement Regalia and Volunteer Information—Undergraduate Students
Graduates can still purchase regalia in-person at Barnes & Noble at Rutgers University on Somerset Street.
Rutgers–New Brunswick students are invited to attend and participate in Commencement by volunteering as an Ambassador to support graduates in-person. Learn more about how to volunteer and register here. Student groups who have 10 or more volunteers can receive $500, a t-shirt, and a gift the day of the ceremony. The shift is from 6:30 a.m] to 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 15. If interested please have each member fill out this form. Materials and training information will follow.
Academics
Learning Centers Services for Final Exams—All Students
The Rutgers Learning Centers are offering academic support services for final exams through Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Students may access tutoring, academic coaching, and writing tutoring here. Finals workshops that help students prepare for exams are still open and can be viewed here. Please contact the Learning Centers with any questions.
Register for Bloustein School's Virtual Information Sessions for their Master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions starting this week for their master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics. The GRE is waived for Fall 2022 applications, and the deadline to apply is July 1, 2022. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Learn more and register for a session here.
Applications Open for the Bloustein School’s Graduate Certificate in Public Policy—All Students
Applications for the graduate certificate in Public Policy at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy are being accepted. A graduate certificate can be earned after just 4 courses, and the GRE is not required. No work experience is necessary, and convenient online and evening course options are available. The application deadline for Fall 2022 is July 1, 2022.

The Virtual Tri-State Career & Internship Fair Hosted by Rutgers will be virtual this year on May 20 from noon to 4 p.m. This event is only open to Rutgers University students and alumni from all academic disciplines and the general public. Join to network with employers to discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. Learn more and register here.
