Fall 2022 Add/Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
September 6: Classes begin and Add/Drop period begins
September 15: Last day to drop courses without a "W" grade and last day to add courses
October 31: Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” grade
December 15: Last day to withdraw from the University for Fall 2022

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Fall 2022 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, September 20, 2022. This is the only time during the semester that reductions and cancellations will be allowed.
Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2023 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2023. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Information for Federal Government's Student Debt Relief Plan—All Students
The federal government has announced a plan to cancel up to $10,000 in federal student debt for Americans earning less than $125,000 per year ($250,000 for couples), and up to $20,000 for borrowers who received Pell Grants while they were in college. Students or borrowers with questions are encouraged to check the Federal Student Aid's website and to sign up for email updates from the U.S. Department of Education for more information. The White House's Fact Sheet containing data related to the debt relief and extension of the loan repayment pause can be viewed here.
View and Pay Fall Semester Term Bills—All Students
Fall semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. It is recommended that students enroll in one of the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plans (RUTPP) to conveniently pay their term bills in monthly installments. Please view additional information and payment plan options here.
Set Up Direct Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. All students are required to enroll in direct deposit. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here.
Cash Payments—All Students
Due to the health and safety concerns associated with handling cash for students and staff, we strongly encourage using electronic payment methods instead of cash payments. Please review payment options and the Cash Handling Policy for more information.
GradGuard Epidemic Coverage Endorsement—All Students
GradGuard Tuition Insurance Plans purchased on or after February 18, 2022, now include the Epidemic Coverage Endorsement, which can provide coverage for when an insured student completely withdraws from school for the covered term due to becoming ill with any epidemic or pandemic disease, including COVID-19 and Monkeypox. myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Waive or Enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan—All Students
Rutgers requires full-time and all F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan each semester before the deadline. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. The fall deadline to enroll is September 23, 2022.
- WAIVING? Students who have comparable health insurance should complete the waiver to get the premium removed from the term bill.
- ENROLLING? Please complete the enrollment form. Paying the premium on the term bill is not enrolling.

Scarlet $ense Financial Literacy Program—All Students
Rutgers University–New Brunswick introduces a new campus-wide comprehensive program on financial literacy that includes—but is not limited to—student loan borrowing and repayments, budgeting, savings, investing, and debt. In addition, students have access to a free financial literacy website, workshops, freshman and transfer seminars, and webinars on financial literacy topics. One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Register Local Addresses—All Studentsmust register local addresses and emergency contact information with Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships in order to be kept updated on municipal information, programming, emergency alerts, and other helpful information related to living off-campus.
Students who are renting in the local communityRutgers Food Pantry—All StudentsRutgers Student Food Pantry (RSFP) is dedicated to helping students in need. Its primary mission is to provide necessary food and personal care products to members of the Rutgers community. All services are confidential and no appointment is necessary—only a Rutgers ID card is needed. Services are provided by Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships and the pantry is located at the College Avenue Student Center in room 115 (lower level). Follow the Rutgers Student Food Pantry on Facebook and Instagram (@RUFOODPANTRY) for up-to-date information.
TheMake a plan to vote in the 2022 Midterm Election—All Students
There is an election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Students who want to cast their vote in elections happening this fall must be registered to vote. On-campus undergraduate and graduate students can register at their on-campus residence hall or off-campus address. Out-of-state students are also eligible to register in New Jersey. All New Jersey voter registration changes must be completed by Tuesday, October 18. Out-of-state voters should be sure to check their state's election deadlines and requirements. Applications for the Master’s Program in Human Resource Management—Undergraduate Students
The Master of Human Resource Management Program within the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is currently accepting applications for 2023. This top-tier ranked program is hosting a virtual open house on Thursday, September 15, from noon to 1 p.m. Meet with Program Director David Ferio, student advisors, and a SMLR career management specialist to learn about program benefits and careers in Human Resources. Applications for the Master’s Program in Labor and Employment Relations—Undergraduate Students
The Labor Studies & Employment Relations Department at the School of Management & Labor Relations (SMLR) is currently accepting applications from Rutgers undergraduate students of all majors. The Master's in Labor and Employment Relations program allows students to expand their horizons from the employee and employer perspectives across many types of organizations including corporations, non-profits, unions, social justice organizations, and state/federal government agencies. The program is hosting a virtual information session on September 28 from noon to 1 p.m. Learn more and register for the information session here.
Student Success Resources
Success.rutgers.edu is dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed and is organized around four themes: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and includes important "How To" instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.
Upcoming Success Weeks (September 12–23, 2022) will host a number of academic and skill development workshops, in-person and virtual talks, career fairs, and will kick off with a campus resources fair. All sessions will be focused on the pillars of student success: timely graduation with minimal debt, the development of essential skills and competencies, and first-choice placement after graduation.
