Fall 2023 Add/Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students

Registration for Winter Session Begins Soon—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2024 term begins on Monday, October 2. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break, and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Students should visit the Schedule of Classes page to plan schedules now before registration begins. Please note that students must have an established GPA of 2.0 or higher to register. Rutgers first-year and transfer students who enrolled in the fall are not eligible to register. Learn more about winter session here.
Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2024 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2024. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Fall 2023 Term Bills—All Students
Fall 2023 semester term bills are available to view and pay online here.
Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students
Rutgers has partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce to allow students to pay tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from bank accounts via e-check payment, credit card, or debit card. The last day to enroll in the 2-payment plan for the Fall 2023 semester is October 5, 2023. View payment plan options here.
Enroll in Direct Deposit for Faster Refunds—All Students
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. International students who are eligible for a refund can enroll in direct deposit using a U.S. bank account. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer or winter refunds.
TA/GA/Graduate Fellow Tuition Remission Payroll Deduction—TAs, GAs, and Graduate Fellows
TAs, GAs, and Graduate Fellows may enroll in payroll deduction to make payments for charges not covered by tuition remission, such as housing, dining, or student fees. Please complete the online form to enroll in payroll deduction no later than the sixth week of the semester. The deadline to enroll in the 8-payment deduction plan is October 5, 2023, at 3 p.m.
Staff/Faculty Taxable Remission—Graduate Students Who Are Staff/Faculty
Please be aware that the full value of staff/faculty graduate tuition remission is subject to federal and New Jersey state tax withholding. In addition, under federal regulations, any graduate tuition remission benefit over $5,250 per calendar year is also considered taxable. Please refer to the 2023 Tax Withholding Schedule for Fall 2023 withholding dates.
Cash Payments—All Students
Due to the health and safety concerns associated with handling cash for students and staff, it is strongly encouraged that students use electronic payment methods instead of cash payments for paying term bills. Please review payment options and the Cash Handling Policy for more information.
myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Take the Rutgers–New Brunswick Campus Bus System Survey—All Students
The Division of Institutional Planning and Operations (IP&O) invites students to complete the Rutgers University-New Brunswick Campus Bus System Survey. The survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete and is open until October 6, 2023. Students who complete the survey may enter into a drawing to win one of seven $100 gift cards to kite + key, Rutgers Tech Store. Learn more and take the survey here.
Sign Up for Rutgers Recreation Programming—All Students
Rutgers Recreation offers a variety of programs that are tailored to enhance the health and overall well-being of students. Students may take part in Fitness and Wellness Classes, Small Group Training, Self-Defense Workshops, NASM, BodyPump, Spin, and USAW Certifications, Outdoor Adventures, and facility reservations. Students may also download the Rutgers Recreation app, RuRec2GO, to browse and register for workshops and classes.
Register to Vote or Update Voter Registration for the 2023 Election—All Students
Students seeking to vote in New Jersey should register to vote or update voter registration by October 17, 2023, to be able to vote in the election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Out-of-state students are also eligible to register in New Jersey but should be sure to check their state's election deadlines and requirements. Learn more about voting here.

Success Weeks: Tour a Learning Center and Enter a Raffle—All Students
Students are invited to visit the Learning Centers to take a tour and learn more about their free services during Success Weeks. The Learning Centers also offer a series of workshops that students can join to get empowered and reenergized. Students may also enter a raffle for a chance to win a gift card. Graduate School of Education Open House—Undergraduate Students
The Graduate School of Education (GSE) is holding an open house on Wednesday, October 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the GSE Building on the College Avenue Campus. Students will meet GSE faculty and staff, learn about programs, and hear what it's like to be a teacher from a wide range of people who have found their calling in the profession. This event is open to first-years, sophomores, and students considering a major change. Learn more and register here.
Applications for the Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Program—Undergraduate Students (Juniors)
Applications are being accepted for the Undergraduate Associates Program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Associates build knowledge, skills, and networks for political, government, and community engagement. The program is a 3-semester interdisciplinary certificate for Juniors from all Rutgers schools and campuses. Associates will develop leadership and professional skills through a series of three unique courses (one per semester) and through summer or fall internship in politics, government, policy, or advocacy. The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is accepting applications for admission to majors in Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies. Bloustein School's Undergraduate Prospective Student Open House—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy hosts an Undergraduate Prospective Student Open House on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This opportunity is for prospective students to learn about the school, academic programs, and admissions criteria, as well as a chance to meet and hear from faculty and current students. Applications for the Bloustein School's Mary Ann and Steven J. Allard Fellowship Program—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the Allard Family have established a fellowship for outstanding, declared, and non-traditional public health students who have demonstrated a personal commitment or outstanding academic potential in their public health studies. For 2023–2024, two eligible undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA will be selected as fellows to receive $2,000 each. The deadline for applications is Friday, October 20, 2023. Register for Bloustein School's Master's in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Informatics and Health Administration Virtual Information Sessions—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions for their master and graduate certificate programs in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Informatics and Health Administration. The GRE is waived for 2024 and scholarships are available for Fall 2024. No work experience is necessary. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Uwill–Free Teletherapy For Students—All Students
Student Health has partnered with Uwill, the leading student mental health and wellness solution. Uwill offers students free immediate access to teletherapy through its easy-to-use online platform. Students can choose a therapist based on preferences including issue, gender, language, and ethnicity. Uwill is a secure and convenient path to clinical services beyond Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services' (CAPS) office hours, including evenings and weekends. CAPS Wellness Workshop Series—All Students
Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services' (CAPS) is offering health and wellness workshops through the fall semester for students. Student Success Resources
Success Weeks: September 15–September 29—All Students
Rutgers has everything students need to invest in success and have a great year. Success Weeks offers students an opportunity to explore a wide range of strategy sessions for academic success, money management and financial aid (budgeting, investing, and credit), or choosing a major or career. Students can also learn about undergraduate research and tour a lab, and attend a career fair or open house at the Learning Centers, computer labs, and the Office of Disability Services testing center. Success.rutgers.edu is dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed and is organized around four themes: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and includes important "How To" instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.
Jobs, Internships and Leadership Positions
Students should regularly check out the employment listings available on Rutgers Handshake, your primary career management portal brought to you by the Office of Career Exploration and Success. On-campus part-time jobs are also regularly posted to the platform by campus departments.
Career Exploration Night
Students are invited to attend the virtual Career Exploration Night on Wednesday, October 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Over 20+ Rutgers alumni will share success stories, advice, and a day in the life of individuals on the cutting edge of their profession with casual speed networking and discussion rounds. This event will count as two stamps towards the #Rutgersworks Free Tuition Challenge. Learn more and register here.

Student employment opportunities, both in-person and remote, are available for currently registered students. Students are encouraged to log in to their Rutgers Handshake accounts and search for the "On-campus Student Employment" job type to apply.
