Did you know that all Rutgers campuses are now tobacco-free and smoke-free? Smoking, as well as the use of all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products, is prohibited on all Rutgers campuses and off-campus sites. Did you know that the Rutgers’ Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RUCOOL) at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences is marking it's 30th anniversary at the forefront of climate change research and ocean discovery? RUCOOL has taken the lead in pioneering research that has changed our understanding of the oceans and the way information is collected. Did you know that Rutgers scientists have developed a new approach to stopping viral infections by producing a “DNA Virus Vaccine"? A new method employs weakened viruses as a vaccine to prevent diseases caused by DNA viruses. Learn more about the vaccine here.

Did you know that the Rutgers Geology Museum is celebrating its 150th anniversary? The museum was founded in 1872 by State Geologist George H. Cook to exhibit the many specimens collected by the New Jersey Geological Survey. Learn more about the museum and its history here.
