Final Exam Schedule—Undergraduate Students
Students should review finalexams.rutgers.edu and class syllabuses to know when final exams are scheduled. Remember, exams are not always during class scheduled times. Students who have conflicts (e.g. exams at the same time/day or more than two exams beginning in a 24-hour period) should refer to exam policies and consult with their school’s academic advising office for questions.

• December 13: Last day of classes
• December 14: Reading Day (no exams or classes)
• December 15-22: Final exams

University Withdrawal Deadline—Undergraduate Students
The last day to withdraw from the University for Fall 2023 is December 14. Learn more and view the Fall 2023 Undergraduate Calendar here. For assistance, please contact the One Stop Student Services Center.

Registration for Winter Session Is Ongoing—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2024 term is in progress. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break, and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Please note that students must have an established GPA of 2.0 or higher to register. Rutgers first-year and transfer students who enrolled in the fall are not eligible to register. Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2024 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2024. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Winter 2024 Term Bills Are Due—All Students
Winter 2024 term bills are due on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Pay term bills online at paymybill.rutgers.edu.

Winter 2024 & Spring 2024 Tuition Payment Plans—All Students 
Rutgers has partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce to allow students to pay tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from bank accounts via e-check payments, credit cards, or debit cards. The deadline to enroll in the Spring 2024 5-payment plan and the Winter 2024 payment plan is December 5, 2023. View more information regarding payment plans here.

2024–2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Process—All Students
The 2024–2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process is being updated as a result of the FAFSA Simplification Act. Please visit the FAFSA Simplification page to learn more. The FAFSA for the 2024–2025 academic year will be available by December 31, 2023, and the Rutgers priority filing deadline is February 15, 2024, for incoming, continuing, and transfer students.

Enroll in Direct Deposit for Faster Refunds—All Students
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. International students who are eligible for a refund can enroll in direct deposit using a U.S. bank account. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer or winter refunds.

Staff/Faculty Taxable Remission—Graduate Students Who Are Staff/Faculty 
Please be aware that the full value of staff/faculty graduate tuition remission is subject to federal and New Jersey state tax withholding. In addition, under federal regulations, any graduate tuition remission benefit over $5,250 per calendar year is also considered taxable. Please refer to the 2024 Tax Withholding Schedule for 2024 withholding dates.

New Brunswick Payment Center's Updated Hours of Operation—All Students
The New Brunswick Payment Center at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall on the Busch Campus will be operating as follows: Wednesday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to the health and safety concerns associated with handling cash for students and staff, it is strongly encouraged that students use electronic payment methods instead of cash payments for paying term bills. Please review payment options and the Cash Handling Policy for more information.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Spring 2024 Commencement & Convocation Ceremonies for Fall and Winter Graduates—All Students

Workshops for Final Exam Prep—All Students
The Learning Centers offer workshops for students to help with final exam preparations. Finals Prep Workshops begin on Tuesday, December 5, and continues through Wednesday, December 15. Learn more and register for workshops here.

M.A./Accelerated M.A. in Political Science at Rutgers Information Session—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences invites students to an information session for the M.A. in Political Science-United Nations and Global Policy Studies program on Tuesday, December 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom. This is the last information session before the Spring 2024 deadline. High-achieving undergraduate students who are considering graduate school and are interested in global affairs should attend this session. Learn more and register for the session here.

Student Success Resources

Success.rutgers.edu is dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed and is organized around four themes: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and includes important "How To" instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.

Jobs, Internships and Leadership Positions

Students should regularly check out the employment listings available on Rutgers Handshake, your primary career management portal brought to you by the Office of Career Exploration and Success. On-campus part-time jobs are also regularly posted to the platform by campus departments.

Rutgers Internship and Co-Op Course (RICC)—Undergraduate Students
The Rutgers Internship and Co-Op Course (RICC) is a 3 or 6 credit general elective course that students can take concurrently with an internship or co-op experience in order to earn academic credit. This experience-learning course allows students to explore and dive into industries and opportunities to gain work experience. All applications for Spring Internship Credit must be submitted by January 23, 2024, to guarantee review. Learn more and apply here.

#Rutgersworks Free Tuition Challenge
The Office of Career Exploration and Success is giving away FREE Spring 2024 tuition and other prizes for all currently registered Rutgers–New Brunswick students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 2024 Winter Career & Internship Mega Fair—All Students
The Winter Career & Internships Mega Fair takes place on Thursday, February 1 and February 2, 2024, at Jersey Mike's Arena on the Livingston Campus. This in-person event provides the opportunity to network with over 300 employers and discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. This event is only open to Rutgers University students and alumni from all academic disciplines. This event is also part of the Spring 2024 #Rutgersworks Free Tuition Challenge.
