Spring 2022 Add-Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
Through March 21: Undergraduate drop period with a "W" grade
April 18: Last day to withdraw from the university for Spring 2022

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Spring 2022 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, February 15, 2022. This is the only time during the semester that reductions and cancellations will be allowed. Students can find the most up-to-date information about dining services and meal plans here.

RU Express Cancellation and Reduction Requests—All Students
RU Express initial deposit cancellation and reduction requests for the Spring 2022 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, February 15, 2022. This is the only time during the semester that cancellations or reductions will be allowed and only if the money for the Spring 2022 semester HAS NOT been used. Students can find the most up-to-date information about dining services and meal plans here.

Financial

New Financial Aid Program—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students in their third and fourth years of study may qualify for the Garden State Guarantee (GSG) commencing Fall 2022. The GSG is New Jersey’s promise to make a college degree more accessible and affordable by reducing the out-of-pocket costs for students and families. Eligible applicants must be New Jersey residents working toward their first bachelor’s degree and file the 2022–2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15, 2022. View and Pay Spring Semester Term Bills—All Students
Spring 2022 term bills are now available to view and make payment. Term bills not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment fee of $125.00. Payments are accepted in the form of e-check or credit card and can be made via the online term bill. 

Sign Up for Direct Deposit to Receive Refunds—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to sign up for direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited. Learn more about direct deposit here. 

1098Ts—All Students
2021 1098T tax forms were made available for students on January 31 for viewing and printing for Educational Tax Credits. Students with scholarships and grant aid greater than their qualified tuition and fee charges are not eligible to claim a tax deduction and will not see a 1098T form. Learn more about the 1098T form here. 

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Health

Student Health Insurance Information—All Students
Rutgers University requires full-time and all F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline each semester. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester for the 2021–2022 policy year. The spring open waiver/enrollment period ends on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

• Enrolling? Paying the premium on the term bill is not enrolling. Students must complete the enrollment form before the deadline.
• Waiving? The premium will be removed from the term bill within 4 business days after submission of the waiver form.

Rutgers Student Food Pantry and No Hungry Knights Award—All Students
Students who are experiencing food insecurity can access the Rutgers Student Food Pantry at no cost. Only a valid RUID is required. Learn more about the Rutgers Student Food pantry and schedule an appointment here. In addition, students may apply for a No Hungry Knights Award. Created by generous donors, these awards fund full or partial meal plans for eligible students. Learn more and apply for the No Hungry Knights Award here.

Academics

Study Groups and Academic Success Workshops—All Students
The Rutgers Learning Centers encourages students to sign up for study groups. Study group leaders review course material with students and integrate study strategies such as note taking, problem solving, and test preparation that link course content with cognitive skill development. Search for a study group and register here. The Learning Centers also offer Academic Success Series Workshops which help students learn techniques to improve focus, concentration, memory, emotional well-being, and effective strategies to take control of learning. All workshops in the series are being offered online on Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. Please register for workshops here.

Applications for the Eagleton Fellowship Program—Graduate Students
Applications are now available for the 2022–2023 Eagleton Fellowship Program in Politics and Government and is open to Rutgers graduate students in all schools on the New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden campuses. Stipends and tuition remission are available. Fellows learn about real-world American politics, government, and public affairs. Students may complete the program while pursuing a degree, and an interdisciplinary cohort and curriculum connects the fellowship experience to a chosen field of study. GSE Five-Year Teacher Education Programs—Undergraduate Students
The Graduate School of Education is holding an information session for the five-year teacher preparation programs for initial licensure and certification on Friday, February 18, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Learn more about the five-year bachelor's/master's program with teaching certification from the top-ranked school of education in New Jersey. This session will also explain how the five-year program works, admission requirements, and areas of licensure offered. Please RSVP to the session here.

Social Work Scholarships and the MSW Priority Deadline—Undergraduate Students
Applications are being accepted for the Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program at the School of Social Work. Merit and need-based scholarships are available, and the program offers flexible online and evening degree options. Apply, view deadlines, and register for a weekly virtual information session here.

Funded Research in American Politics—Undergraduate Students
Research proposals are being accepted for the John & Ann Holt Endowed Undergraduate Applied Research Fund in American Politics. Rutgers juniors and seniors from all campuses can receive research support for undergraduate research on an issue of American politics of contemporary significance through a bipartisan lens. To apply, research proposals, unofficial transcripts, writing samples, and letters of recommendation should be submitted to ematto@eagleton.rutgers.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022. Register to Learn More About the Bloustein School’s Graduate Certificate in Public Policy—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting a virtual information session for their graduate certificate in Public Policy on Monday, February 28, at noon. A graduate certificate can be earned after just 4 courses, and the GRE is not required. No work experience is necessary. Convenient online and evening course options are available. Virtual Information Sessions for Bloustein School’s Graduate Certificate in Public & Urban Informatics—All Students

Applications for the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship in Public Service—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy has established the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship Program in Public Service to honor Mr. Voorhees' commitment to community service. Each year, the school selects undergraduates from any major at Rutgers–New Brunswick who are dedicated to civic engagement. Fellows receive $5,000 and participate in a credit-bearing partnership with community organizations. Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair—All Students
Students are invited to participate in one of the largest and most diverse recruiting opportunities in the nation on Thursday, February 17, from 1-4 p.m. An anticipated group of nearly 250 employers will be available to network with candidates to discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. Rutgers Summer Service Internship (RSSI) Initiative—Undergraduate Students
Rutgers Summer Service Internship (RSSI) Initiative provides select students with an opportunity to earn up to $5,000 while interning for a minimum of 200-hours over 10 weeks during the summer at a public service non-profit organization or direct-service government office. Students also participate in a concurrent virtual, asynchronous course. Candidates may apply with a qualifying internship found on their own or participate in a matching process.
