End of Year Residence Hall Closing
Students staying in 9-month residence halls and apartments should be prepared to depart from their space on Thursday, May 16, at 10 a.m. Card ID access will be de-activated at this time. Rutgers University Residence Life requires that students vacate their space within 24 hours of their last final exam. If students complete their finals prior to May 16, it is expected that students will make arrangements to move out according to their exam schedule. On-Campus Meningitis B Vaccination Clinic—All Students
All undergraduate students are strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated against meningitis B. The last on-campus vaccination clinic for the month of May will be held on May 8 at the Cook Student Center from 12-8 p.m. Students can also visit their local healthcare provider or pharmacy, or make an appointment with Rutgers Student Health (by calling 848-732-7402 or visiting nbstudenthealthportal.rutgers.edu). If students are unsure of their MenB vaccination status, students should check with their primary health provider or the Rutgers Immunization Portal. Learn more here.
Application for Admission to SC&I Undergraduate Majors—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is accepting online applications for admissions to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. Volunteers Needed for University Commencement—All Students
The Office of the Secretary is seeking students to volunteer as Commencement Ambassadors for Rutgers University's 253rd Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family members may also volunteer. All Ambassadors receive event training, a Commencement T-shirt, a branded Rutgers duffle bag as a thank-you gift, a breakfast buffet before Commencement, snacks, entry into a volunteer raffle, and the satisfaction of making the day even better for Rutgers' newest alumni. Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2019 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.
Lifestyle Factors Affecting Health Student Seminar—All Students
Registration for the summer course Lifestyle Factors Affecting Health is now open. Earn 1.5 credits in this two-day seminar course that teaches students how to improve physical and mental health, manage stress, and use simple change management techniques to break unwanted habits. A non-credit option is also available to students for $49. Learn more here.
