Fall Health and Well-Being Protocols
The Universitywide COVID-19 Information Page is your official source of information about the university’s response to COVID-19. This page has resources for students and parents along with announcements pertaining to COVID-19, FAQs, and the operating statuses of services, facilities, and offices at Rutgers. You are encouraged to check this site frequently.

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Fall 2022 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, September 20, 2022. This is the only time during the semester that reductions and cancellations will be allowed.

Fall 2022 Add/Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
October 31: Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” grade
December 15: Last day to withdraw from the University for Fall 2022

Normal Webreg Hours:
6:30 a.m.—midnight, Monday through Friday
6:30 a.m.—2 p.m. on Saturdays

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2023 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The deadline is January 15, 2023. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial

Waive or Enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan—All Students
Rutgers requires full-time and all F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan each semester before the deadline. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. The fall deadline to enroll is September 23, 2022.

  • WAIVING? Students who have comparable health insurance should complete the waiver to get the premium removed from the term bill.
  • ENROLLING? Please complete the enrollment form. Paying the premium on the term bill is not enrolling.

Information for Federal Government's Student Debt Relief Plan—All Students
The federal government has announced a plan to cancel up to $10,000 in federal student debt for Americans earning less than $125,000 per year ($250,000 for couples), and up to $20,000 for borrowers who received Pell Grants while they were in college. Students or borrowers with questions are encouraged to check the Federal Student Aid's website and to sign up for email updates from the U.S. Department of Education for more information. The White House's Fact Sheet containing data related to the debt relief and extension of the loan repayment pause can be viewed here.

View and Pay Fall Semester Term Bills—All Students
Fall semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. It is recommended that students enroll in one of the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plans (RUTPP) to conveniently pay their term bills in monthly installments. Please view additional information and payment plan options here.

Set Up Direct Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. All students are required to enroll in direct deposit. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here.

Cash Payments—All Students
Due to the health and safety concerns associated with handling cash for students and staff, we strongly encourage using electronic payment methods instead of cash payments. Please review payment options and the Cash Handling Policy for more information.

GradGuard Epidemic Coverage Endorsement—All Students
GradGuard Tuition Insurance Plans purchased on or after February 18, 2022, now include the Epidemic Coverage Endorsement, which can provide coverage for when an insured student completely withdraws from school for the covered term due to becoming ill with any epidemic or pandemic disease, including COVID-19 and Monkeypox. myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

Scarlet $ense Financial Literacy Program—All Students
Rutgers University–New Brunswick introduces a new campus-wide comprehensive program on financial literacy that includes—but is not limited to—student loan borrowing and repayments, budgeting, savings, investing, and debt. In addition, students have access to a free financial literacy website, workshops, freshman and transfer seminars, and webinars on financial literacy topics.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Get Ready for Flu Season with Flu Vaccination Clinics—All Students
Fall 2022 Flu Vaccination Clinics will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

Students should bring their Rutgers student ID and insurance cards to the clinics. In order to save time, consent forms can be completed in advance. Learn more about flu vaccinations and download the consent forms here.

General

Rutgers University–New Brunswick Campus Buses Website—All Students
Students can access a full range of bus information on the Parking and Transportation Services website. Route maps, schedules, and helpful videos are all available to assist in navigating the Rutgers University–New Brunswick Campus Bus System. Students can also view real-time bus arrival information on phones using the Rutgers Mobile App or the Transloc App, both available on Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Rutgers Food Pantry—All Students The Rutgers Student Food Pantry (RSFP) is dedicated to helping students in need. Its primary mission is to provide necessary food and personal care products to members of the Rutgers community. All services are confidential and no appointment is necessary—only a Rutgers ID card is needed. Services are provided by Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships and the pantry is located at the College Avenue Student Center in room 115 (lower level). Follow the Rutgers Student Food Pantry on Facebook and Instagram (@RUFOODPANTRY) for up-to-date information.

Make a plan to vote in the 2022 Midterm Election—All Students
There is an election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Students who want to cast their vote in elections happening this fall must be registered to vote. On-campus undergraduate and graduate students can register at their on-campus residence hall or off-campus address. Out-of-state students are also eligible to register in New Jersey. All New Jersey voter registration changes must be completed by Tuesday, October 18. Out-of-state voters should be sure to check their state's election deadlines and requirements. Academic Success Series Workshops—All Students
The Learning Centers encourage students to climb the academic ladder of success through Academic Success Workshops. Students who attend these workshops learn techniques to improve focus, concentration, memory, emotional well-being, and effective strategies to take control of learning. School of Communication and Information Is Now Accepting Applications—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is now accepting applications for admission to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. The deadline for online applications is Friday, October 7, 2022. Learn more about SC&I programs and the application process at the information session scheduled for Wednesday, September 28 at 5:30 p.m. in room 323 of the SC&I building on the College Avenue Campus. Applications for the Master’s Program in Labor and Employment Relations—Undergraduate Students
The Labor Studies & Employment Relations Department at the School of Management & Labor Relations (SMLR) is currently accepting applications from Rutgers undergraduate students of all majors. The Master's in Labor and Employment Relations program allows students to expand their horizons from the employee and employer perspectives across many types of organizations including corporations, non-profits, unions, social justice organizations, and state/federal government agencies. The Master of Human Resource Management Program within the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is currently accepting applications for 2023. This top-tier ranked program is open to all undergraduate majors. Learn more here.

Student Success Resources

Success.rutgers.edu is dedicated to helping students find all of the services and resources to succeed and is organized around four themes: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation. The site is easily searchable and includes important "How To" instructional videos and guides for topics such as Course Scheduling, Add/Drop, Canvas, Teams, the Handshake Career Management platform, and more.

Success Weeks (September 12–23, 2022) offer academic and skill development workshops, in-person and virtual talks, and a career fair. All sessions will be focused on the pillars of student success: timely graduation with minimal debt, the development of essential skills and competencies, and first-choice placement after graduation.

Jobs, Internships and Leadership Positions

Students should regularly check out the employment listings available on Rutgers Handshake, your primary career management portal brought to you by the Office of Career Exploration and Success. On-campus part-time jobs are also regularly posted to the platform by campus departments.
