Registration for Winter Term Begins Monday, October 4—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2022 term begins on Monday, October 4. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Fall 2021 Add-Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
October 25: Last day to withdraw from a course with a "W" grade
November 22: Last day to withdraw from the university for Fall 2021

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online, or a hard copy (PDF) if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2022. For any questions concerning a diploma application, please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 (and ask for Tia Williams) or submit an inquiry to the One Stop Student Services Center. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial

Financial Holds—All Students 
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for spring semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the Financial Aid webpage to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration.  One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Health

Student Health Insurance Waiver Appeals—All Students
The deadline to waive or enroll in student health insurance was September 21. Updated waiver appeal information is as follows:

Failed to Waive? Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. Students can complete a waiver appeal form before November 30, 2021. F and J Rutgers visa-sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global before the deadline for waiver appeal guidelines at eljones@global.rutgers.edu.

Failed to Enroll? Students are now enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan. Insurance cards should be accessible by October 5, 2021, and an account must be created to access the card.  

Students may view the summary of benefits and other information here. Please note that the enrollment process can take several weeks, which will delay access to insurance cards. Students are encouraged to be proactive and enroll before the deadline in order to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care and then seeking reimbursement. 

General

Request a Diversity Peer Educator (DPE) Workshop—Undergraduate Students
Students may request a free and student-led diversity peer education workshop led by Diversity Peer Educators (DPEs). Workshop topics include Race in America, Feminism, Police Brutality, and more. DPEs are dedicated to being a resource and educator in topics that help to make Rutgers a more inclusive community for all. Learn more and request a workshop here.

Take the Scarlet Knight Challenge—Undergraduate Students
To assist new students in building connections with the Rutgers community and learning about essential campus services, New Student Orientation and Family Programs has created the Scarlet Knight Challenge. This challenge will assist new students with navigating the campus, calming nerves that may arise, finding a place to call home on campus, making friends, and having fun while winning  prizes. This challenge is exclusively open to all first-year and transfer students. Learn more about how to participate here.

Academics

Academic Support Resources at success.rutgers.edu—All Students
Students looking for academic advising or tutoring, or seeking to get better using Canvas or Teams, are encouraged to browse the Student Success website. This website is easily searchable and has “How To” instructional videos related to technology systems such as Canvas, Teams, the Rutgers Handshake Career Management tool, and more. The site also provides resources and services for: Success Essentials, Academic Support Services, Involvement & Community, and Experiential Learning & Career Preparation.

Register for an Education as a Social Science Minor Information Session—Undergraduate Students
The Graduate School of Education is hosting virtual information sessions for their Education as a Social Science Minor for Fall 2021. Students will learn about focused tracks within the minor, how the minor can complement a major, how to apply, and more. Students must register in order to attend an information session. Register for School of Social Work's Master of Social Work Information Sessions—All Students
The School of Social Work is hosting virtual information sessions for students interested in learning more about the Master of Social Work degree options. Applications for this nationally-ranked school are now being accepted for 2022. Learn more and register for an information session here.

Register for Bloustein School's Master's in Public Policy, Urban Planning, and Public Informatics Information Sessions—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions for their master and graduate certificate programs in Public Policy, Urban Planning, and Public Informatics. The GRE is waived for 2022 and scholarships are available for Fall 2022. No work experience is necessary. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Applications for the Bloustein School's Mary Ann and Steven J. Allard Fellowship Program—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the Allard Family have established a fellowship for outstanding, declared, and non-traditional public health students who have demonstrated a personal commitment or outstanding academic potential in their public health studies. For 2021-2022, two eligible undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA will be selected as fellows to receive $2,000 each. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2021.
