Fall 2020 Add-Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
September 14: Last day to add/drop courses without a "W" grade
September 15–November 30: Drop courses with a "W" grade

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Fall 2020 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, September 15. This is the only time during the semester that reductions and cancellations will be allowed.

RU Express Cancellation and Reduction Requests—All Students
RU Express initial deposit cancellation and reduction requests for the Fall 2020 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, September 15. This is the only time during the semester that cancellations or reductions will be allowed and only if the money for the Fall 2020 semester HAS NOT been used.

View and Pay Fall Semester Term Bills—All Students
Fall semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. Term bills not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment fee of $125.00. It is recommended that students enroll in one of the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plans (RUTPP) for those unable to pay the full amount due by the due date. Please view additional information and payment plan options here.

Cashiers' Office Operating Status—All Students
The Cashiers' Offices are operating remotely and will not be open for in-person visits for the remainder of the fall semester. For assistance, please use the online contact form or the Official Rutgers University App. Students should also consider the following:

• Students and authorized users can make online payments at paymybill.rutgers.edu. Please note eChecks are processed at no charge. Credit/debit card transactions are assessed a 2.7% non-refundable service fee.
• All checks can be mailed to the Cashiers’ Office according to these instructions.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can now authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records or make payments on their behalf. In order to grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.

Dining Services Operating Status and Meal Plan Information—All Students
Dining Services is now offering online ordering for pickup using meal swipes. Meal plans are also available with packages from 50 to 285 meals for the semester. Select dining locations are open seven days a week. Please visit the Dining Services website for the most up-to-date information and send any questions via this contact form.

Food Locations Now Open in Student Centers—All Students
Select food locations are now open in the Busch and College Avenue student centers. The Busch, College Avenue, and Livingston student centers are open with extended hours on Mondays–Thursdays from 8 a.m.–10 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. The student centers are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Schedule of Classes for Winter Session Is Now Available—All Students
The schedule of classes for the Winter 2021 term is now available. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from more than 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Plan schedules now and begin registering on October 5. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Check Voter Registration Status for the 2020 General Election—All Students
The General Election on November 3, 2020, will feature new changes to election practices in New Jersey. All actively registered voters in N.J. will receive an official ballot for the election to the address linked to their voter registration. It is important to check voter registration status to verify the address to which official ballots will be delivered. Students who have never registered to vote or need to update voter registration should do so by Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Learn more about voter registration here.

Disclosure Statements—All Students
Students can find legal disclosures and information concerning academic programs, drug and alcohol policies, including the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act, the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, institutional and specialized accreditation, nondiscrimination and harassment, Title IX, public safety information, peer-to-peer file sharing, withdrawal from the institution, and more here.

1. Suicide Prevention Act—Rutgers has individuals with training and experience in mental health issues who focus on reducing student suicides and attempted suicides. These individuals are available on campus or remotely by telephone or other means for students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students can contact: NJ HopeLine: 855-654-6735, RUPD: 911, Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS): 848-932-7884.
2. File Sharing Software—The sharing of music and movies through the use of file sharing peer to peer (P2P) software available online is discouraged due to copyright and security issues. In compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), the university has provided guidelines to inform students about copyright laws. Copyright infringement and unauthorized distribution are against the law and will be enforced. Learn more here (PDF).
3. Minors on Campus—Guidelines for appropriate protection and supervision of minors participating in university-sponsored programs, or in programs operated by outside entities that are held in university facilities, can be found here.

Visit the Virtual Involvement Fair through September 16 —All Students
The 2020 Virtual Involvement Fair runs through 11 p.m. on September 16. Students can log on at any point to learn about the nearly 700 student groups, fraternities and sororities, sports clubs, and departments participating in this year’s event. Students can also chat directly with group representatives during scheduled live sessions. Students are encouraged to complete or update getINVOLVED profiles in advance of the fair. LVL UP Now Accepting Applications for Second-Year Students—Second-Year Students
Applications are open for the LVL UP program for second-year students offered by Student Centers and Activities: Leadership and Experiential Learning. Students will face changes as they transition into their second-year, like shifting to major-specific related courses; declaring their major; taking on positions within student organizations; and managing large teams. Students will develop the skills necessary to succeed while also training for position-specific responsibilities. First-Year Fellowship Applications Now Open—First-Year Students
Applications are open for the First-Year Fellowship Certificate Program offered by Student Centers and Activities: Leadership and Experiential Learning. This program features a curriculum designed for emerging leaders to cultivate their skills and abilities to become the next generation of leaders. Participants take advantage of the opportunity to participate in an 8-week, 1.5-credit leadership course, in addition to being exposed to involvement opportunities. Previous leadership experience is NOT required to participate. The application deadline is September 20. Learn more about the First-Year Fellowship Program here.

School of Communication and Information Accepting Applications for Admission—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is now accepting applications for admission to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. Visit the SC&I undergraduate admission webpage to review the admission requirements and to access the online application. The deadline for applying online is Friday, October 2, 2020.
