Spring 2021 Pre-Registration Has Begun—All Students
Pre-registration for Spring 2021 began on Monday, November 30, for New Brunswick graduate students, and undergraduate students with 105+ credits. Pre-registration continues through Thursday, December 10. Registration for undergraduate students is by degree credits already earned. Please use this contact form for any questions and view the Spring 2021 registration schedule here.

"How To" Videos on the Student Success Resources Website—All Students
Students getting ready to schedule classes for spring or looking for academic support resources as they finish the semester can access “how to” instructional guides and videos on the Student Success Resources website. These "how to" videos pertain to course scheduling, WebReg or Add/Drop and explore the resources for advising, academic support, financial assistance, career preparation and more. This new website organizes the resources and services that support student success in one location.

2021–2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Is Now Available
The 2021–2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available. Continuing students should file before the January 15 priority deadline. Learn how to apply for financial aid here.

Financial Holds—All Students 
Financial holds will be placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for spring semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the Financial Aid webpage to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.

Winter 2020 and Spring 2021 Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Student
Winter and Spring tuition payment plans are now available. Students looking to sign up for a Spring payment plan need to log into the current semester term bill to sign up until the Spring term bills are released. The deadline to sign up for a Winter payment plan is December 5, 2020. Visit paymentplans.rutgers.edu for more information.

Register for Winter Term—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2021 term is ongoing. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from more than 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2021 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online. The deadline is January 15, 2021. Please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this contact form with any questions. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Give a Gift through RUPA's Winter Wishes Program—All Students
Students can provide a child with gifts or books this holiday season through the Rutgers University Programming Association's (RUPA) Winter Wishes Program. Winter Wishes is an annual program that provides gifts of clothing and toys to children ages 3-5 in preschool in New Brunswick schools. This year, due to COVID-19, RUPA will be doing the shopping, but the community can help by adopting wishes. Winter Wish Adoption is online this year and will be open until December 15. Rutgers Commuter Student Association for Commuter Carpool Communities Is Now on Discord—Undergraduate Students
First-year and transfer students are invited to join the Rutgers Commuter Student Association to meet with upper-class commuters. The first five students who attend and stay until the end of each event will receive a prize (limit 1 per person). The next sessions are on December 2 and 4 from 3-4 p.m. Join the Discord community here or visit the Student Centers and Activities’ website.

COVID-19 Testing Information—All Students
All students living in campus housing, living off-campus in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area, and students in groups required to receive testing can access testing through Rutgers Student Health. Details about testing can be found here.

• Off-campus students must register their local address here. Local addresses are needed in order for public health officials to properly track and respond to the pandemic. 
• There is no cost for testing through Rutgers Student Health.
• Students who experience symptoms, had contact with someone who tested positive, are worried, or are unsure about getting tested, should call Rutgers Student Health at 848-932-7402. Student Health will schedule a same-day appointment time to speak with a clinician, answer questions, and provide a test that day.

Byrne First-Year Seminars—Undergraduate Students
Byrne Seminars are small, one-credit courses taught by Rutgers’ world-renowned faculty who come from departments and professional schools across the university. Limited to just 20 students per section, each unique seminar introduces students to the professor’s area of expertise and their latest research. Over 55 seminars are available for the spring semester. This program is open to all first-year students. Please view complete listings here.

Sign Up for 1:1 Meeting Slots to Learn About Bloustein School's Master's Programs—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is accepting applications for their masters or certificate programs in public policy, urban planning, public informatics, and health administration. Students who are passionate about public service, interested in a social impact career, and like working with data or in a leadership position in the healthcare industry are invited to apply. The GRE is waived for Fall 2021, and scholarships are available. Students can sign up for a meeting slot to speak with a representative at the Rutgers Graduate School Virtual Admissions Fair on December 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applications for Teaching Certificates at the Graduate School of Education—Undergraduate Students
The Graduate School of Education (GSE) is accepting applications for their teaching certificate programs. Juniors can earn an Ed.M. and a teaching license with one additional year of study; Seniors need just two years. The GSE is New Jersey's top-ranked education school and its faculty and courses are rated among the best at Rutgers. Applications for the SMLR Labor Studies and Employment Relations Majors and Minors & Virtual Open House—Undergraduate Students
The Labor Studies and Employment Relations Department at the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is now accepting students for the undergraduate major and minor. Students learn about issues related to diversity and inclusion, worker involvement and voice, and the changing workplace. The program is hosting an open house on December 2 at 6 p.m. Virtual advising is available for current SMLR students and those considering spring courses. Learn more about the program and register for the open house here.

Applications for the SMLR Master’s Program in Labor and Employment Relations (MLER)—Undergraduate Students
The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) invites undergraduates of all majors to apply for the Master of Labor and Employment Relations (MLER) program. The GRE is waived. Learn about Diversity and Inclusion; Workplace Laws; Globalization; Labor and Management; Conflict Resolution and many complex workplace topics from the employee and employer perspective. The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is accepting applications for the Master of Human Resource Management Program for 2021. This top-tier ranked program is hosting a virtual open house on Thursday, December 10, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Meet with Program Director David Ferio, student advisors, and a SMLR career management specialist to learn about program benefits and careers in human resources. The nationally ranked Rutgers School of Social Work will host a virtual information session for students interested in learning more about the B.A. in Social Work degree. Applications for the Master’s Program in Political Science–Concentration in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. #RutgersWorks Free Tuition Career Challenge—All Students
The Office of Career Exploration and Success is offering FREE spring tuition and other prizes for all currently registered Rutgers–New Brunswick students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
