Important Information Regarding COVID-19 
The Universitywide COVID-19 Information Page is your official source of information about the university’s response to COVID-19. This page has resources for students and parents along with announcements pertaining to COVID-19, FAQs, and the operating statuses of services, facilities, and offices at Rutgers. You are encouraged to check this site frequently.

Spring 2021 Add-Drop Dates—Undergraduate Students
January 19: Classes begin
January 26: Last day to drop courses without a "W" grade
January 27: Last day to add a course 
March 22: Last day to drop courses with a "W" grade
April 19: Last day to withdraw from the University for Spring 2021

Normal Webreg hours are from 6:30 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, and 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. View the Spring 2021 Undergraduate Calendar here. For assistance, please contact the Office of the Registrar using this online contact form. The Registrars' Offices remain closed for in-person assistance due to Covid-19.

COVID-19 Testing Information & Contact Tracing—All Students
All students living in campus housing, living off-campus in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area, and students in groups required to receive testing can access testing through Rutgers Student HealthDetails about testing can be found here.

  • Off-campus students must register their local address here. Local addresses are needed in order for public health officials to properly track and respond to the pandemic. 
  • There is no cost for testing through Rutgers Student Health.
  • Students who experience symptoms, had contact with someone who tested positive, are worried, or are unsure about getting tested, should call Rutgers Student Health at 848-932-7402. Student Health will schedule a same-day appointment time to speak with a clinician, answer questions, and provide a test that day.
  • Students who are contacted by a Contact Tracer are highly encouraged to speak with them. Contact Tracers provide valuable information and resources to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

View and Pay Spring Semester Term Bills—All Students
Spring 2021 semester term bills are now available to view and make payment. Term bills not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment fee of $125.00. Payments are accepted in the form of e-check or credit card and can be made via the online term bill. Please note: Appointments for cash only payments are limited and available only to students who need to pay with cash. Students can book an appointment here

Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students
Students can also choose to enroll in a payment plan for assistance with paying their term bill balances at paymentplans.rutgers.edu. Additional Spring 2021 payment plans have been created for students who missed the January 4th deadline and are available now.  

Sign Up for Direct Deposit to Receive Refunds—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to sign up for direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited. Learn more about direct deposit here

1098Ts—All Students
Starting at the end of January, students will receive an email notification with instructions for viewing and printing the 2020 1098T tax forms for Educational Tax Credits. Students with scholarships and grant aid greater than their qualified tuition and fee charges are not eligible to claim a tax deduction and will not see a 1098T form. Learn more about the 1098T form here

Dining Plan Change and Cancellation Requests—All Students
Dining plan change and cancellation requests for the Spring 2021 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, February 2, 2021. This is the only time during the semester reductions and cancellations will be allowed. 

RU Express Cancellation and Reduction Requests—All Students
RU Express initial deposit cancellation and reduction requests for the Spring 2021 semester are now being accepted online until Tuesday, February 2, 2021. This is the only time during the semester cancellations or reductions will be allowed and only if the money for the Spring 2021 semester has not been used.

"How To" Videos on the Student Success Resources Website—All Students
Students changing their schedule for spring or looking for academic and technological support services can access “how to” instructional guides and videos on the Student Success Resources website. These "how to" videos pertain to course scheduling, WebReg or Add/Drop, and explore the resources for advising, academic support, financial assistance, career preparation, and more.

Student Centers Open for Spring Semester & Personal Meeting Room Reservations Available—All Students
Beginning Tuesday, January 19, the Busch, College Avenue, and Livingston student centers will be open from Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The student centers will be closed on weekends. For more information, please visit the Student Centers and Activities website. Students may also reserve personal meeting rooms for academic engagement such as online classes, academic sessions, exams, and meetings with professors and other Rutgers staff. Students may reserve space here.

RuRec2Go App and Werblin Recreation Center Access—All Students
The new RuRec2Go app is now available for download from Rutgers Recreation. The app allows students to view facility hours and receive important notifications, register for classes and workshops, and browse the Fitness & Wellness schedule. Werblin Recreation Center on the Busch Campus is open, but access is by reservation only. Learn more about the app here.

Virtual Spring Involvement Fair on January 25—All Students
Students are invited to join Student Centers and Activities and kick-off Involvement Week with the Spring Involvement Fair on Monday, January 25. The virtual fair will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., and students can meet with representatives from 500+ student organizations, sports clubs, fraternities and sororities, university departments, and more. Participants can log on any time during the four hours. Residence Life Global Roommmate Program Mentor Recruitment—Undergraduate Students
The Residence Life Global Roommate Program is recruiting students who are interested in supporting new undergraduate international students in their transition to Rutgers and the United States. Applicants should be current Rutgers students who have an interest in living with international students for the 2021–2022 academic year. Mentors and mentees are placed together in on-campus apartments. The application deadline is February 5, 2021. Learn more about the program and view dates for information sessions here.

Earn Credit Towards a Degree with the Rutgers Internship and Co-op Program—All Students
The Rutgers Internship and Co-op Program (RICP) is an online pass/fail course for academic credit during the spring semester while working at an internship. By enrolling in the course, students will have an instructor to offer expert advice and help navigate the work environment. Participants will also increase marketability to future employers by developing skills in career management, professionalism and work ethic, digital technology, and oral and written communications. Learning Centers Academic Support Services Continue to be Available Online for Spring 2021—All Students
Working with tutors and coaches or joining study groups is a great way for students to connect with others and find the academic support they need. Detailed information about how to access and use tutoring services online can be found on the Online Services page. Tutoring, academic coaching, study groups, and writing coaching are being offered through the Penji platform. Students can view the introductory video for instructions on how to set up a Penji account here. Workshops on topics such as study strategies, time management, finals prep, and note taking skills will continue to be offered. View the list of workshops here.

Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair Series—All Students
The Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair Series is open to all Rutgers University candidates including current students, graduate students, and alumni. Over 100 employers will be available to network with candidates to discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. Students can visit the fair website or their Rutgers Handshake account to register for 1-on-1 virtual sessions and connect directly with recruiters.

Sign Up for the Rutgers Commuter Student Association's Listserv—Undergraduate Students
The Rutgers Commuter Student Association (RCSA) listserv shares events, resources, and other opportunities that are available to students who are interested in commuting to campus for classes or special programming. Opportunities include events catered to commuters, an interactive lounge on Discord, Future Commuter Mentor Program, leadership opportunities, and commuter lounges, lockers, and other amenities. Commuters and future commuters may sign up for the RCSA listserv here.

Register Now for a Byrne Seminar—Undergraduate Students
Students may add a Byrne Seminar to schedules now. Seats are available in more than 20 sections with topics such as linguistics, pop music, global health, climate science, and more. These seminars are limited to 20 students, which gives participants a unique opportunity to get to know a professor and their research. Master of Social Work Application Priority Deadline is February 1—Graduate Students
Students interested in an affordable degree that offers clinical counseling skills, licensure, and hands-on experience leading organizations are invited to apply to a Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the School of Social Work. Students who submit their MSW application by February 1, 2021, will receive priority consideration for scholarships. Learn more about the MSW program options here.

School of Communication and Information Is Accepting Applications for Admission—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is now accepting applications for admission to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. The deadline for online applications is Friday, February 5, 2021.
