Open Hearing on the University’s Tuition, Fees, and Housing and Dining Charges for 2022–2023—All Students
All students are invited to the Open Hearing on the University’s Tuition, Fees, and Housing and Dining Charges for 2022–2023 on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Comments made at the Hearing help inform University administration while developing tuition and fees. Prospective speakers must register online or by emailing secretary@oq.rutgers.edu before noon on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Please submit comments online until Friday, April 22, 2022. Registration for Summer Session—All Students

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The May diploma deadline is Sunday, May 15, 2022. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be sent to the One Stop Student Services Center via this contact form. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.
Financial
Payment Implications of Russian Sanctions—All Students
Due to Visa and Mastercard’s decision to suspend coverage in Russia, Flywire has temporarily deactivated all credit/debit card payments originating from Russia to minimize any impact to payers. At this time, Flywire can accept bank transfer payments from Russia for payers seeking to send destination currency. Payers should work directly with their bank to understand any limitations the sanctions may impose on moving money abroad.
Financial Holds—All Students document upload page to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.
Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for Fall 2022 semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on theSet Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All StudentsLearn more about electronic deposit here.
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically.One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Health
Student Health Insurance Information—All Students
Students who have failed to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline should follow these guidelines:
- Failed to Waive? Students are being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan and will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. Students can complete a waiver appeal form before April 30, 2022, at www.universityhealthplans.com. F & J Rutgers visa-sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global before the deadline for waiver appeal guidelines at eljones@global.rutgers.edu by April 30, 2022. A Rutgers ID number must be included for identification.
- Failed to Enroll? Students are now being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), which will cause a delay in accessing insurance cards. Students can visit www.uhcsr.com to create an account and access insurance cards in a few weeks. Please note that students should be proactive and enroll before the deadline each semester to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care—including medication—and then seeking reimbursement.
General
Duo Requirement for NetID Services and Websites Starts April 18—All Students
Rutgers will require all students to use two-step login with Duo to access most NetID-protected services and websites including Canvas, myRutgers, and Microsoft Office. The requirement will be rolled out to most Rutgers students from April 18 to April 20. Students should enroll now to protect their information. Students who do not enroll before the requirement goes into effect starting on April 18 may experience disrupted access to critical IT services at Rutgers. For help, visit twostep.rutgers.edu and review the FAQs for two-step login, or contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk.
Commencement Parking Registration, Regalia, Shout Out, and Volunteer Information—Undergraduate Students
Graduating students attending the 256th Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at SHI Stadium, must register for parking hangtags in order to park on campus the day of the event. Parking registration ends on Monday, May 25. More information regarding parking is available on the Commencement website.
Graduating students are invited to film their Shout Outs for the commencement ceremony. Shout Outs are a fun way to thank the people who have supported graduates throughout their college careers. Shout Outs will appear on the stadium video board during the ceremony. Filming dates for Shout Outs are:
- Hot Dog Day, Wednesday, April 20, 2 to 5 p.m., Red Lion Cafe, College Avenue Student Center
- Rutgers Day, Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., room 135 of Scott Hall, College Avenue Campus
Graduates can still purchase regalia online now through April 22 for ship-to-home, or purchased in-person at Barnes & Noble at Rutgers University on Somerset Street.
Rutgers–New Brunswick students are invited to attend and participate in Commencement by volunteering as an Ambassador to support graduates in-person. Learn more about how to volunteer and register here.
Academics
Get a Head Start to Finals—All Students
The Rutgers Learning Centers has services to help students prepare for final exams. Peer Coaching helps students learn new study strategies, develop time management skills, and participate in facilitated small groups that are capped at 6 students per session. Peer Coaching sessions give students individualized attention to help them become more effective students and learners. Register for Peer Coaching here. Students who would rather work one-on-one with a coach can make an appointment here. In addition to coaching, Tutoring and Writing Assistance will also be available throughout the final exam period.
SC&I Undergraduate Majors and Minors Information Session—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is hosting an online information session on Monday, April 25, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. for Rutgers–New Brunswick undergraduate students interested in the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. This online session will present each of the SC&I academic majors and minors, review the undergraduate application process, and introduce many other resources available at SC&I. Register for Bloustein School's Virtual Information Sessions for their Master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions starting this week for their master’s programs in Public Informatics, Health Administration, and Public Affairs and Politics. The GRE is waived for Fall 2022 applications, and the deadline to apply is July 1, 2022. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Learn more and register for a session here.
Applications Open for the Bloustein School’s Graduate Certificate in Public Policy—All Students
Applications for the graduate certificate in Public Policy at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy are being accepted. A graduate certificate can be earned after just 4 courses, and the GRE is not required. No work experience is necessary, and convenient online and evening course options are available. The application deadline for Fall 2022 is July 1, 2022.
