Reminder Regarding Term Bills—All Students
Students who have registered for the fall semester are expected to confirm their attendance by the due date indicated on their term bill to avoid late charges, holds, and the loss of university services. Students who have financial aid that completely covers the balance due on their accounts should log in and click on the “Confirm Attendance” button on their term bill here. Students with a balance due can pay by electronic check or by credit card (with a convenience fee). Students who are planning to withdraw from classes for the semester should contact their Dean's office immediately for assistance.
Sign Up for Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds—All Students
Students are encouraged to sign up for electronic deposit with RU ScholarRefund for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically via RU ScholarRefund. Learn more here.
Join a Focus Group for the Housing Master Plan for Rutgers University–New Brunswick
Students are invited to participate in a focus group about experiences living on campus, living off campus, or commuting at Rutgers University. Input is essential to the development of the updated Housing Master Plan for Rutgers University–New Brunswick. The last focus group session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4. Students who are interested in participating can view available time slots and sign up here. Focus group participants are entered into a raffle to win one of nine $25 gift cards to kite + key, the Rutgers Tech Store. SHP Physician Assistant Program Info Session
The Rutgers School of Health Professions is holding an info session about the Master of Science Physician Assistant Program on October 17 in the main lecture hall of RWJMS on the Busch Campus. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., and the event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Meet the faculty, speak with current students, and learn how to apply to the program. Learn more here and RSVP here.
Registration for Winter Term—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2018 term has begun. Earn up to four credits during winter break. Choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Courses are offered in face-to-face, online, or hybrid format. Learn more here.
Applications for Membership in Phi Sigma Iota–International Foreign Language Honor Society—All Eligible Students
Phi Sigma Iota, the International Foreign Language Honor Society, is accepting membership applications through October 6 from juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are currently taking 200-level courses or higher in one or more foreign languages. Applicants must have maintained a 3.5 average or higher in all language courses taken at Rutgers University. Information and application forms are available in the language departments and online here. Instructions are available online for applications submitted via email. Applications may also be submitted to our mailbox in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese (Rutgers Academic Building, 5th Floor). Please send any questions to lesit@rci.rutgers.edu.
Applications for Admission to SC&I Undergraduate Programs—Undergraduate Students
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is now accepting applications for admission to the Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, and Journalism and Media Studies majors. Visit the SC&I undergraduate admission webpage to review the admission requirements and to access the online application. The deadline for applying online is Friday, October 6, 2017. Applications for the Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Program—Juniors in all Rutgers Schools
Applications are now being accepted for the Class of 2019 Eagleton Institute of Politics Undergraduate Associates program. This 1.5 year, interdisciplinary certificate program is open to Rutgers Juniors from all Rutgers schools, departments, and campuses—including transfer students. Learn about real-world politics, public policy, and government from experienced practitioners in the field and build networks to affect positive change. School of Arts and Sciences Major and Minor Fair—Undergraduate Students
The School of Arts and Sciences Major and Minor Fair is taking place on Wednesday, October 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the College Avenue Student Center. The fair is an opportunity to meet and connect with academic advisors across the many disciplines and services at Rutgers. Registration for the Spring 2018 term is coming soon, and meeting with an academic advisor within SAS or students' prospective major and minor can be of help. Applications for the McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program—Undergraduate Students
Applications are being accepted through Friday, December 1, 2017, for the next cohort of scholars for the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. The McNair Program provides a supportive environment and a multitude of resources to assist and prepare students interested in pursuing a doctorate. The program provides support, research funding, and graduate school preparation. Low-income, first generation, or underrepresented students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply.
