Spring Break Hall Closing
Certain residence halls on the Rutgers–New Brunswick campus will close at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15, for the beginning of Spring Break. Residence halls will re-open on Sunday, March 24, at 9 a.m. Prior to moving out, please consult and complete the closing checklist in its entirety to help ensure that all students may return to a welcoming community after break. Residence Life staff will conduct closing room checks. Students should contact their Residence Life staff with any questions. View a full list of buildings closing for break here.

The Registrar's Office Is Moving—All Students
Starting Thursday, March 21, students can visit the Registrar's Office on College Avenue in Records Hall for assistance with registration and transcripts. Please note the Registrar's Office will be closed on March 20 for the move. Questions can be sent to studenthelp@registrar.rutgers.edu or gradreg@registrar.rutgers.edu.

Financial Holds—All Students
Financial holds will be placed on accounts which have unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for Fall 2019 semester classes. Students who are enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure that the last payment on a plan will satisfy any outstanding balance. Financial aid recipients should check online to make sure all financial aid has been credited. View the balance of a student account here.

University Commencement Special-Needs Parking Hangtag Registration Is Open—All Students
University Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at HighPoint.com Stadium on the Busch Campus. With more than 50,000 people expected on campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick, parking on campus will be limited. Therefore, graduating students must register to receive up to two free parking hangtags for themselves and their families or guests. Registration for special-needs parking hangtags is now open. Registration for non-special-needs tags will open on March 25. Learn more here.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2019 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online. Please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 and ask for Monica Licourt or Michael Rusen, or email diplomas@registrar.rutgers.edu with any concerns about a diploma application. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

2019 Summer Session Registration—All Students
Registration for Summer Session 2019 is ongoing. Choose from more than 2,500 courses in a wide range of subjects, offered in-person, online, or at off-campus locations throughout the state. Make progress towards graduation, improve a GPA, or fulfill a prerequisite this summer. Learn more here.

Apply to How Sweden Works: Equality, Solidarity, Happiness this Summer—All Students
Registration is open for this 3-credit summer program in Stockholm, Sweden, where students will study key features of Nordic life related to employment rights, labor relations, work-life balance, gender equity, international solidarity, and ecology. As part of a faculty-led study tour from June 9-14, students will meet members of the Swedish parliament, employer and labor organizations, civil society groups, and housing cooperatives. Apply for the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy has established the Ralph W. Voorhees Fellowship in public service to recognize students committed to community service. Any Rutgers–New Brunswick undergraduate student dedicated to civic engagement is invited to apply for the fellowship by Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Fellows receive $5,000 and participate in a credit-bearing partnership with community organizers and serve as mentors for future Fellows. Learn more and apply here.

Applications for the Class of 2020 Eagleton Fellowship Program in Politics and Government—Graduate Students
The Eagleton Fellowship Program in Politics and Government is a one-year interdisciplinary certificate program available to graduate students in ALL Rutgers schools and departments. Full/part-time and international students are also eligible to apply. Stipends and tuition remission are available. Students continue working towards their degrees without interruption and learn about real-world American politics, government, and public affairs.
