Registration for Winter Session Now Open—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2025 term is now open. Students can make progress towards a degree this winter and choose from 150+ courses in a wide variety of subjects. Please note that in order to register, students must have an established GPA of 2.0 or higher. First-year students who are enrolled in the fall are not eligible to register for Winter Session. Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2025 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2025. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students
The Rutgers Tuition Payment Plan allows students to pay tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from bank accounts via e-check payments, credit cards, or debit cards. The Winter 2025 plan is now available. Learn more about payment plans here.

Enroll in Direct Deposit for Faster Refunds—All Students 
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. International students who are eligible for a refund can enroll in direct deposit using a U.S. bank account. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer or winter refunds. Students not enrolled in direct deposit will receive a pop-up alert on the myRutgers portal that must be acknowledged.

Health Insurance Waiver Appeal and Enrollment Procedures— Full-Time and ALL F&J Rutgers Visa Sponsored Students Only
Students who have failed to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline should follow these guidelines:

• Failed to Waive? You are being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even though you have other health insurance. You can complete a waiver appeal form before November 30, 2024, at www.universityhealthplans.com. Once a waiver appeal has been submitted before the deadline, the premium ($1,233) will automatically be removed from the term bill.
  • F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global via email to request a waiver appeal before November 30, 2024. Rutgers ID# must be included for identification.
• Failed to Enroll? Your enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is now being processed.  Visit www.uhcsr.com to create an account and access your insurance card after October 15, 2024.
  • Note: Be proactive and enroll before the deadline each semester and avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care including medication, and then seek reimbursement.

Residency Reclassification Deadline—All Students

Staff/Faculty Taxable Remission—Graduate Students Who Are Staff/Faculty
Please be aware that the full value of staff/faculty graduate tuition remission is subject to federal and New Jersey state tax withholding. In addition, under federal regulations, any graduate tuition remission benefit over $5,250 per calendar year is also considered taxable. Please refer to the 2024 Tax Withholding Schedule for the 2024 withholding dates.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the "Authorized Access" icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. Make a Plan to Vote in the November 5 Election—All Students
Students planning to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5, should make plans to successfully register to vote and cast ballots. The RU Voting Program at the Center for Youth Political Participation reminds all eligible voters to check their voter registration status and update their voter registration by the Tuesday, October 15 deadline at 11:59 p.m. Students who are already registered at the correct location can decide in advance to vote by mail, vote early at an early voting site, or on Election Day on November 5. Get Ready for Flu Season with Flu Vaccination Clinics—All Students
Fall 2024 Flu Vaccination Clinics will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy introduces the E. Mae McCarroll Scholarship, designed for exceptional undergraduate students majoring in Public Health or pursuing a Health Disparities certificate. For the 2024-2025 academic year, two recipients with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA will each receive $2,500 for recognizing their academic achievements and commitment to public health. The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, in partnership with Robin and Robert J. Nardi, has established the endowed scholarship for an outstanding undergraduate student majoring in Urban Planning and Design or Planning and Public Policy. This scholarship recognizes academic merit and financial need. For the 2024-2025 academic year, one recipient with a cumulative GPA 3.2 will be selected to receive $2,000. Eagleton Institute of Politics invites juniors from all Rutgers schools and campuses to build political, government, and community engagement knowledge, skills, and networks through a 3-semester interdisciplinary certificate program. Participants earn 9 credits and learn about political power and decision-making through 3 unique courses (1 course each semester). The Edward J. The Graduate School of Education hosts an open house on Tuesday, October 8, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at 10 Seminary Place on the College Avenue Campus. The Edward J. The Center for Continuing Professional Development offers test preparation classes to help students prepare for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, and Praxis exams. The waiver/enrollment forms are accessible for Fall 2024 at www.universityhealthplans.com. Rutgers requires full-time and all F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) each semester before the deadline. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. Mandatory action is required each semester. The SHIP is optional for part-time students and the premium is not added to the term bill.

• Deadline date: September 25, 2024
  Rate: $1,233.00
• WAIVING? If you have comparable health insurance, you may complete the waiver to get the premium removed from your term bill. If you failed to waive before the deadline, your enrollment in the SHIP will be processed, and you will then be responsible for paying the premium on the term bill even though you have other health insurance.

The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. Mandatory action is required each semester. One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. Guidelines for Free Expression on Campus—All Students
As part of Free Expression at Rutgers, guidelines were created that outline the steps that members of the community must take when engaging in expressive activities. These guidelines are intended to provide for the safety of participants to engage in freedom of expression while avoiding the disruption of educational, clinical research, or business functions at the university. Students should familiarize themselves with these guidelines and include the application and permitting process, approved locations, permissible times, noise standards, and appropriate conduct for free expression events. Students will also find standards for tabling, posting of flyers, and protesting campus speakers and/or events. Consistent with existing policies, no encampments will be permitted. 

Register Local Addresses—All Students
Students who are renting in the local community must register local addresses and emergency contact information with Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships in order to be kept updated on municipal information, programming, emergency alerts, and other helpful information related to living off-campus.

Student Basic Needs & Rutgers Food Pantry—All Students
Students facing challenges in accessing adequate amounts of food, housing, financial, or other resources are encouraged to check the Student Basic Needs website for more information regarding food and housing assistance, utility assistance, child care resources, emergency aid, and more. 

Make a Plan to Vote in the November 5 Election—All Students
Students planning to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5, should make plans to successfully register to vote and cast ballots. The RU Voting Program at the Center for Youth Political Participation reminds all eligible voters to check their voter registration status and update their voter registration by the Tuesday, October 15 deadline at 11:59 p.m. Students who are already registered at the correct location can decide in advance to vote by mail, vote early at an early voting site, or on Election Day on November 5. The Edward J. Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. Residency Reclassification Deadline—All Students

Health Insurance Waiver and Enrollment Forms—All Students
The waiver/enrollment forms are accessible for Fall 2024 at www.universityhealthplans.com. Rutgers requires full-time and all F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) each semester before the deadline. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. Mandatory action is required each semester. The SHIP is optional for part-time students and the premium is not added to the term bill.

  Rate: $1,233.00
• WAIVING? If you have comparable health insurance, you may complete the waiver to get the premium removed from your term bill. If you failed to waive before the deadline, your enrollment in the SHIP will be processed, and you will then be responsible for paying the premium on the term bill even though you have other health insurance.
• ENROLLING? Complete the enrollment form before the deadline. Paying the premium on the term bill is not enrolling. If an enrollment form was not completed before the deadline, your insurance card may not be available for several weeks. Failure to have the insurance card may put you at financial risk to pay out-of-pocket for medical care and prescription medication. Be proactive and enroll before the deadline to avoid financial risk, and the need to file for reimbursement directly with UHCSR.

Required Online Trainings for First-Year Students—Undergraduate Students
The Compliance & Title IX Office is committed to ensuring a safe and respectful campus environment. All incoming first-year undergraduate students are required to complete two trainings: U Got This! and Binge Thinking. These trainings educate and empower students on sexual violence prevention and alcohol education. Students who are renting in the local community must register local addresses and emergency contact information with Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships in order to be kept updated on municipal information, programming, emergency alerts, and other helpful information related to living off-campus.

Students facing challenges in accessing adequate amounts of food, housing, financial, or other resources are encouraged to check the Student Basic Needs website for more information regarding food and housing assistance, utility assistance, child care resources, emergency aid, and more. 

Make a Plan to Vote in the November 5 Election—All Students
Students planning to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5, should make plans to successfully register to vote and cast ballots. The RU Voting Program at the Center for Youth Political Participation reminds all eligible voters to check their voter registration status and update their voter registration by the Tuesday, October 15 deadline at 11:59 p.m. Students who are already registered at the correct location can decide in advance to vote by mail, vote early at an early voting site, or on Election Day on November 5. Students are encouraged to register for Commencement parking passes for the ceremony on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at SHI Stadium on the Busch Campus. All cars on the Busch, Livingston, and College Avenue campuses will need a Commencement Day parking hangtag because regular semester parking permits will be invalid. Students may receive up to two parking passes. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration and physical passes will be mailed in early May. Students are reminded to check the status of their Federal Direct Loans and any financial aid documents that might be pending on their myRutgers Portal. The deadline to accept Federal Direct Loans is April 28, 2024. One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. Register for Commencement Parking at SHI Stadium—All Students
Students are encouraged to register for Commencement parking passes for the ceremony on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at SHI Stadium on the Busch Campus. All cars on the Busch, Livingston, and College Avenue campuses will need a Commencement Day parking hangtag because regular semester parking permits will be invalid. Students may receive up to two parking passes. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration and physical passes will be mailed in early May. Hangtags must be present on the vehicles for parking on Commencement day. Registration closes on Monday, April 22. Learn more and register for a pass here.

The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is hosting virtual information sessions during the spring 2024 term for their master and graduate certificate programs in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Informatics and Health Administration. The GRE is waived for 2024 and scholarships are available for Fall 2024. No work experience is necessary. Students must RSVP to attend an information session. Rutgers Internship and Co-op Course—Undergraduate Students
Students who have an internship this summer and want to receive course credit are encouraged to apply to the Rutgers Internship and Co-op Course (RICC). Rutgers–New Brunswick undergraduate students with a 2.5 GPA or above and with at least 30 credits can take the RICC to earn three credits for their summer experiences. Learn more and apply here.

Spring Career & Internship Fair—All Students
Students are invited to the Spring Career & Internship Fair on April 26, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jersey Mike's Arena on the Livingston Campus. The fair gives participants the opportunity to network with employers to discuss full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields. #Rutgersworks Free Tuition Challenge—All Students
The Office of Career Exploration and Success is giving away FREE Fall 2024 tuition and other prizes for all currently registered Rutgers–New Brunswick students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The #RutgersWorks Free Tuition Challenge is a passport game where students can actively participate in career-related activities and events to earn stamps towards free tuition. Students earn stamps by attending events, utilizing online tools, or engaging with the resources listed on the game board. Students who complete at least ten challenge requirement stamps are entered into a drawing for free tuition for Fall 2024 at $6,837.
