One Stop Student Services Center Closing Early on Tuesday, November 2—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, to walk-ins, and will resume normal in-person hours on Wednesday, November 3. During the closure, One Stop can still be reached via the contact form here or via phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO).
Registration for Winter Term Is Now Open—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2022 term has begun. Earn credits towards a degree during winter break and choose from 150 courses in a wide range of subjects. Learn more about Winter Session here.
Last Day to Withdraw from University—Undergraduate Students

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2022 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online, or a hard copy (PDF) if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2022. For any questions concerning a diploma application, please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 (and ask for Tia Williams) or submit an inquiry to the One Stop Student Services Center. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Financial Aid Application Available—All Students
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for the 2022–2023 academic year. Please file before the January 15, 2022, priority deadline to ensure eligibility for all available aid programs. The following is needed to file a FAFSA:
- An FSA ID
- Student's Social Security Number
- 2020 Federal Tax information for student and student's parents
- Rutgers Federal School Code: 002629

Financial holds have been placed on accounts with unpaid balances. These holds will prevent students from registering for spring semester classes. Students enrolled in tuition payment plans should make sure their accounts are current. Financial aid recipients should review aid packages and check required documents on the Financial Aid webpage to make sure all documents have been submitted. Students can view the balances on their accounts here.
Set Up Electronic Deposit to Receive Refunds Faster—All Students
Students are strongly encouraged to set up direct deposit for the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds. Funds are available for immediate use once deposited electronically. Learn more about electronic deposit here.
One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Weekly Rapid Results HIV Testing Available—All Students
Rutgers Health Outreach, Promotion, and Education (HOPE) is providing Weekly Rapid Results HIV Testing every Friday through November 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. by appointment. Test results are available in about 20 minutes. Please email mark.cruz@rutgers.edu to make an appointment. All testing is free and confidential. Students must bring their student IDs, and masks must be worn to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Testing is done at 8 Lafayette Street on the College Avenue Campus.
Fall 2021 Flu Vaccination Clinic—All Students
The last flu vaccination clinic takes place on Wednesday, November 10, at Sojourner Truth Apartments on the College Avenue Campus. The clinic runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Students must bring their student ID and insurance card. To save time, forms can be filled out in advance. Learn more and access the forms here.
Student Health Insurance Waiver Appeals—All Students
The deadline to waive or enroll in student health insurance was September 21. Updated waiver appeal information is as follows:
Failed to Waive? Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even if they have other health insurance. Students can complete a waiver appeal form before November 30, 2021. F and J Rutgers visa-sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global before the deadline for waiver appeal guidelines at eljones@global.rutgers.edu.
Failed to Enroll? Students are now enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan. Insurance cards should have been accessible starting October 5, 2021, and an account must be created to access the card.
Students may view the summary of benefits and other information here. Please note that the enrollment process can take several weeks, which will delay access to insurance cards. Students are encouraged to be proactive and enroll before the deadline in order to avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care and then seeking reimbursement.

Priority Housing for Living-Learning Opportunities—Undergraduate Students
Current undergraduate students can apply to live in Living-Learning Communities (LLC) at no extra cost for the 2022–2023 academic year. Students in learning communities enjoy the benefits of priority housing and sharing common residential and academic experiences with a close community of friends. Learn Faster with Peer Coaching—All Students
Peer Coaching offered by the Learning Centers allows students to learn new study strategies, develop time management with peers, and enjoy facilitated small groups that are capped at 6 students per session. Peer coaching sessions give students the individualized attention to help them become more effective students and learners. Register for peer coaching here. Once signed into Penji, join the community titled "LC Academic Coaching". Click on "Join a peer coaching group session" and select a peer coach (either Nicole or Spencer). Students who would rather work one-on-one with a coach to learn these skills can make an appointment here.
Applications and Virtual Information Session for the Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies—Undergraduate Students
The Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications from high-achieving undergraduate students for the Accelerated Master’s Program in Political Science–United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) on a rolling basis. This 36-credit program gives students an opportunity to reduce graduate program costs and obtain an M.A. degree in a shorter time period. A virtual information session will be held on Tuesday, November 9, at 12 p.m. Register for the information session here.
Applications for the Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Program—Juniors in all Rutgers Schools
Applications are being accepted for the Undergraduate Associates Program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Associates learn about real-world politics and government, build knowledge, skills, and networks for political, government, and community engagement. Learn about power and decision-making while honing leadership and professional skills. Complete the Academic Integrity Module—Undergraduate Students
Academic integrity is essential to success at Rutgers, and all students are expected to abide by the Honor Pledge which states: “On my honor, I have neither received nor given any unauthorized assistance on this examination (assignment).” To fully understand the policy and some of the factors which can result in violations, students are expected to complete the Academic Integrity module which can be found on Canvas. Learn with Confidence and Sign Up for Drop-In Tutoring—All Students
Tutoring at the Learning Centers is much more than just homework help. Tutors give students the personal attention they need to succeed in their classes. The Learning Centers has helped thousands of students achieve better grades by improving their confidence in the course work. The tutoring model is designed to fit around students' schedules, and tutors are patient and help students understand the course material. Tutoring is being offered online and in person. Applications for the Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Program—Juniors in all Rutgers Schools
Applications are being accepted for the Undergraduate Associates Program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Associates learn about real-world politics and government, build knowledge, skills, and networks for political, government, and community engagement. Learn about power and decision-making while honing leadership and professional skills. Try a New Study Method by Joining a Study Group—All Students
The Learning Centers offer free study groups, open to all Rutgers students, both online and in-person. Study group participants earn higher average final course grades than if they studied alone, and are more actively involved in the course. By attending a study group, students will have a better understanding of course material and acquire effective learning strategies. Study group leaders review course material with students and integrate study strategies—note taking, problem solving, and test preparation—that link course content with cognitive skill development. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for the 2022–2023 academic year. Please file before the January 15, 2022, priority deadline to ensure eligibility for all available aid programs. The following is needed to file a FAFSA:

Learning Centers Open for In-Person Learning—All Students
The Learning Centers have re-opened their centers with hybrid academic support services and are following university guidelines to provide students with a safe environment for in-person learning. In addition to in-person services, services are still being offered online to support all students. Tutoring, academic coaching, study groups, and writing tutoring are now offered in-person at the Learning Centers and online through the Penji App. Students should visit the Penji App to access the drop-in tutoring schedules, or to make an academic coaching appointment. Waive and/or Enroll in Student Health Insurance by September 21 Deadline—All Students
Rutgers requires all full-time and F and J visa-sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. The open waiver/enrollment period ends September 21, 2021.
Enrolling? Paying the premium is not enrolling, and the enrollment form must be completed by the deadline.
Waiving? The premium will be removed from the term bill within 4 business days after submission of the waiver form.

Waive and/or Enroll in Student Health Insurance by September 21 Deadline—All Students
Rutgers requires all full-time and F and J visa-sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. The open waiver/enrollment period ends September 21, 2021.
Enrolling? Paying the premium is not enrolling, and the enrollment form must be completed by the deadline.
Waiving? The premium will be removed from the term bill within 4 business days after submission of the waiver form.

Rutgers has individuals with training and experience in mental health issues who focus on reducing student suicides and attempted suicides. File Sharing Software
The sharing of music and movies through the use of file sharing peer to peer (P2P) software available online is discouraged due to copyright and security issues. In compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), the university has provided guidelines to inform students about copyright laws. The Rutgers Student Food Pantry (RSFP) is dedicated to helping students in need. Its primary mission is to provide necessary food and personal care products to members of the Rutgers community. All services are confidential and no appointment is necessary—only a Rutgers ID card is needed. Services are provided by Off-Campus Living & Community Partnerships and the pantry is located at the College Avenue Student Center in room 115 (lower level). Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair Series—All Students
Students seeking full-time, part-time, internship opportunities, and 1-on-1 or group sessions with employers are encouraged to register for the Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Fair taking place on Friday, September 17, from noon to 4 p.m. This fair is open to all current students and alumni from all academic disciplines and Rutgers University campuses (New Brunswick, Camden, Newark, and RBHS).
